Alternate Attire Spots

If anyone has the game and can answer this itd be great:

I am still a little confused about being able to make attires for in game superstars and divas without it taking up a CAW spot. I have heard:

· There is one extra attire we can make per character

· There are two extra attires we can make per character

· We can use a downloaded attire (community creations) as one of those spots if we make it an alternate attire

Does anyone know which it actually is?

I'm pretty sure there is an option in caw mode for only 1 Alt per slot. You have a ring attire. Below that an alternative slot, and the right top is entrance attire slot. Denkops has a video on it. It's the one where he makes that ridiculous looking character. I'm assuming we can download from CC to fill that but I have no clue about that one.

This actually came up over at the 2K forums and one of the users there had a pretty good hypothesis on what you're seeing with the extra attire slot. I'll quote him:

Thunderlips:

"This is just a feature that I mentioned would be nice... it's not a limitation on creating alt attires...
When you create a caw... there are 2 attire slots. If you were editing a wrestler, you still had the 2 attire slots and could use them... but... if you set the edit as an alternate attire, only the first attire slot could be used... now they've fixed it.
Would like to see us be able to create more than 2 alt attires for caws and have them recognized like edit a superstar is... but... I'm sure that's a bit more complicated."
Myself:
I'm still a little confused by this. What benefit does it serve for the regular non-caw roster?
Thunderlips (responding to my question):
Okay... let's say you were to make a plain old created wrestler. There is an attire 1 and an attire 2. You can select either of these attires when playing matches.
However, now you want to make an alt attire. Let's say it's AJ... You create an AJ with a red attire scheme on attire 1... then you select attire 2 and make a white attire scheme... then you go into the info, save it as an alternate attire for AJ... when you go into exhibition, you can only select attire 1... now you have access to attire 1 and 2... it actually doubles how many alternates you can have.
Here's the thread if anyone is interested in seeing the discussion https://forums.2k.com/showthread.php?4291847-Alternate-Attire-system

Yeh I just read this too and it seemed to make sense until I read a comment from another user which changed my mind again because we could always make 2 attires per caw slot but if you saved it as an alt attire for the superstar it would only use the attire in the slot 1(which I think it called 'original attire').

So I'm thinking it will still do that and nothing has changed in regards to how many attires we are allowed per superstar and all we are seeing in the pictures that are confusing people is a change in layout, as the extra attire slots are shown next to the superstar (in 2k16 they were listed before that screen when you clicked 'edit' on the superstar) So when you choose to save it as an alt attire it'll still use the attire in slot 1.......that's my theory anyway. Lol

I'm pretty sure Superstar alt are basically unlimited until you run out. Unlike CAW, which you only get 1 slot extra. What I do is just copy the superstar and give him the same belts across the board.

Hopefully I can make at least 12 alternate AJ style attires lol

It looks like all this is still speculation. I'd be stoked if we could use 2 attires per slot for in game wrestler alt attires. Last year we could only use the first and it felt like a waste of an attire slot

I really just want to know if this is a thing so I can adjust my caws vs alt attires

Done some deep digging and found out it is indeed true we are only allowed to add only 2 additional alt attires to all in game superstars and legends.wonder why they limited it now. This bummed me out bc i love to have several attires for a superstar from different eras and events.

Do you have a link to where you saw this?

You should explain how you came to that conclusion because everyone has access to the same information and I have seen nobody else confirming this.

Lol me neither it's confusing. 2k should let us know facts. I understand the game in the youtube videos wasn't the final build.

That screen isn't anything new. That's what brought up the whole conversation about alt attires. The theory that makes the most sense to me is that it's the same as it was last year, you're just now allowed to choose the attire in the 2nd slot unlike before.

Going back to my original quote from a user at the 2K forums I will try to make sense of it.

If you made a custom superstar, you had 2 attire slots to use. Now if you downloaded a Dolph Ziggler for example with 2 attires in slot 1 and 2, then assigned them as an alternate attire, you were only allowed to choose from 1 of the attires for some reason. Now it appears that you will be able to use both slots for in-game superstars. Does that make sense or is it still confusing?

I still think it's 2 attires per CAW slot, not just each Superstar

That's what I think to zeb. On the youtube comments they were saying it's only 2 per superstar. I noticed they removed all those attires for ultimate warrior that were alts in wwe 2k15 and 16. Now he only has 2 attires summerslam 90 & wwf live 91.the other attire parts are in creation suite. This is weird how they done it this year.

Well it could be a great thing. If it's the way I think it is, it could essentially double the amount of alternate attires we could have. Basically 2 attires per slot like said above.

That makes sense too. This why 2k need to give us the details on this type of stuff. Alt Attires are a big part of making the game refreshing and fun.
