I have seen a few judo schools here and there where I live so that may mean it's very much "alive", but I don't know how to say for sure what the status is. Yes, it's entirely based on throws and using opponent's momentum against them I believe. Over here in England, it only seems to be prominent when the Olympics is on. I remember his whole moveset revolved around him using his opponents momentum to throw them around. Not a bad art to know but what happens if your opponent refuses to move lol?
