Tbh I’m surprised so many people still have jobs with the the #1 wrestling promotion in the world. That being said, I feel for Yulissa Leon. You come in thinking you’re gonna be some kind of role model for Latina girls, only to spend YEARS never knowing what it’s like to not be a jobber.. Tay Conti made the right choice, not that she’s someone I’d call a role model but she was allowed to make a name for herself and she did.

When it comes to the list of Superstars getting released pretty much each year in WWE, I wonder if a lot of inspiring wrestlers have changed their view in regards to the theory that "everybody wants to get into WWE."

I love WWE mostly because of the Superstars I grew up watching but sometimes I wonder if we are at a day and age that WWE may look good on the outside but I have heard a lot of backstage stories of what the company is really like. I don't know, I just feel like WWE may have certain aspects that would make a wrestler not want to work there. Their contracts, the lack of money, travel expenses, no camera time, no creative opportunity, having your storyline ideas taken from you and so forth.

I don't know...I mean, even the people who get released by WWE after lackluster careers are arguably better off than they would be otherwise. Like...the weakest WWE career is still a hell of an achievement in the grand scheme of "life experience" or whatever. I think people who seek fame and attention will always see WWE as a favorable jumping off point.

You lose a dozen names, mostly nobodies, but gain names like Jade Cargill, Kairi Sane, MJF, potentially Ricky Starks and Hook. Not to mention a part-time Cm Punk. Worth it? I think so. Don’t get me wrong, on a human level it sucks to see anyone lose their livelihood..but this is WWE, it’s cutthroat, it’s swimming in shark-infested waters.. they got their chance.. if they didn’t make the most of it and get as over as they possibly could, that’s on them..

2K24-wise, I think we are looking at more than 2 upcoming releases yet, unfortunately..

The Releases be what they are, unfortunate but many of them werent used and can elevate themself outside of the WWE a lot more because they have more restrictions in the WWE.

What makes it so much more scummy is that this comes hours after they announced this billion dollar deal with the USA Network.
Like its such a garbage move on their part.
Sure its never good when the company who constantly celebrates how much money they make, fires people.
But doint that just hours after such a huge deal, just looks this much more awful.

or were peeps just wishing for her release?

There are very weird people who wants superstars released just for the single fact that they haven't been around for a while, and there are even weirder people who are against Triple H's guys.

Teagan Nox's name was thrown around yesterday, did I not see an official tweet or something or were peeps just wishing for her release?

It appears that rumour came from Mark Henry incorrectly stating on Busted Open Radio that she was part of the cuts. He was subsequently corrected on air.

All my years of being a fan of pro wrestling and WWE, I don't think I was ever a big fan of Vince McMahon himself. My love for WWE over the years stems from the specific superstars both past and present who I think are great in their own way. Over the years of hearing the real life stories of former WWE Superstars who experienced working there and living life backstage, I have to say that WWE isn't exactly the happiest place on earth. I have heard the stories of Vince being crooked, unfair, no decent salary for the wrestlers, lack of opportunity for certain superstars to grow, storylines get taken away, creative team not having anything for you. Traveling on the road every day and basically living off grilled cheese sandwiches.

IF I was an inspiring pro wrestler, I am starting to wonder if the Indies would have been a better move in the first place. I am curious to know if there has been a decent number of well known wrestlers who would tell you that they do NOT want to work in WWE. I wonder if a lot of known wrestlers have turned down contracts.

Pretty much, this.

I know it's selfish...but, I've never been against fat-cutting measures in WWE. Sometimes there are names that I don't agree with...but, there are plenty of cases (like this one), where nothing really jumps out as being a mistake. - There are big rumors on the way to WWE, and those names aren't cheap. If dropping a dozen or so people who haven't really found any momentum is the way to facilitate signing people who will make WWE a much better product, then I agree with it.

In 2023, pro wrestling is booming as a whole industry. There is no shortage of places for people to find work after they are released by WWE. - For that reason, I really don't see it as a tragedy on a human level.

Dolph Ziggler is released but The Miz still has a job? What is Austin Theory doing that Dolph Ziggler can't deliver on? Who would you rather see cut promo and think it was better than the other?

The Miz whether you like him or not I’d extremely valuable. That strictly comes down to a preference. The Miz is literally the safest heel yet effective heel you can have.
