TNFNS Posted March 31, 2016 Report Share Posted March 31, 2016 "Shooting Star" Kris Travis - half of the Project Ego tag team - passed away at the age of 32. Travis, who appeared on the TNA British Bootcamp and was a regular across the independent scene was diagnosed with stomach cancer which temporarily ended his career. Travis managed to make one, brief, return run before the cancer returned. On behalf of everyone associated with PWInsider.com, I'd like to express our deepest condolences. This afternoon we heard the devastating news that our loyal friend and Patron, Kris Travis, has passed away from cancer at 32 years old. The guy was a star, he had a look and could go in the ring. It was sad when I saw he was removed from British Boot Camp because of Cancer, I think he would have won it. He left his mark on the UK wrestling scene, he will be remembered. Hell of a fighter, Kris fought and Cancer didn't get him easily. R.I.P Kris Travis. Just seeing all the tweets and the outpour of respect he has received- I can see he truly left a huge mark on the business. May he rest in paradise. I was reading along, thinking it must have been drugs or an auto accident or something...but it's *censored*ing cancer. See...WWE should give the Warrior award to people like this...not just some random talk show host. And not just because this guy died from cancer, but because he was a wrestler. That's what the Warrior award should be for...for people who actually touched the wrestling industry. Connor the Crusher did that. And that's what the award should be for...be it someone like Corey Graves, who had to retire due to his health, or an indy wrestler who never even made it to WWE, because he or she died doing what they loved...that's what that award should go to; Someone who gave the industry everything they had, in spite of having everything against them. Astro Zombie Posted April 1, 2016 Report Share Posted April 1, 2016 Never really watched him work, but I followed him on Twitter and followed his whole journey coming back to wrestling and thought it was super inspirational. Felt really bad for him when he had to retire when the cancer came back. Looking back on his last couple of months of tweets is really depressing now that he's passed.
