go play the first one after.

Is there a way to play it even though I dont have a last gen console?

here's something that will blow everyone's mind if you never picked up on it

after the end credits, and you return to game when John and Abigail are standing on the hill top talking about getting the ranch into shape, they are standing in the exact spot they end up getting buried in at the end of the first game. as soon as that clued in for me, my jaw dropped.

While looking for a location of something for a daily challenge for Online I got the game spoiled for me, I know it's also my fault that I haven't beat the game. But dang that sucks. Upset enough I just shut the game off

Also about the stubble

This is a temporary fix for it, will last as long as the game is on, log off and it's gone, but for now it's the best I got. Also all my outfits get delete when I log off so I'd have to ride back to camp and re-do it. So I just bought me a temporary hat that looked better than my old.

Been playing Online for a bit the past few days because if you did 10 daily challenges before today you'd get a great fishing Lure. Been doing Stranger missions and hunting to rack up some money, and trying to level up. I need to finish more Online story missions. Also Bought room for another Horse and got the other free one I got for the Ultimate Edition, the Black Racing One and I named it Zoom, since it's a racer and black. Should have called it Black Racer. Like the DC character

It's a slow burn playing this one. Finally saw a gator the other day. Kinda terrifying cause I use the tank-like for horse riding and I was trying to get back to camp riding in that questionable part of Shady Belle where the road leads you into the water and it was getting dark.

I was trying to line the horse up to cross a pretty narrow bridge and I didn't really have enough time to slow down (is there a button to snap the camera back to the front btw? That would help loads) so I was like "I might fall off this bridge because my horse is drunk, no biggie". Just as I was about to give up trying to stay on it I saw one red dot appear on either side on the map and I knew exactly what it was. I never saw them but falling off that bridge was no longer an option XD.

I saw one the next in-game day, just chillin. Had to shoot and skin it, hoping his cousin from down the way wasn't gonna come flying at me in retaliation. Luckily it didn't, but its legs bugged out and were slowly spinning after it died, XD that's the only time I've seen any part of their body actually move. I still haven't had the pleasure of being mauled by anything outside of a story mission, which was basically a cutscene. I'm too much of a pussy to actively go looking for these creatures though XD.

Quick question about treasure maps. I haven't checked any in a long time but I don't recall seeing any of the landmarks matching them from what I remember. Does Arthur write anything about them on the big map? Because I'm an idiot, it took me a bit to realize he was penning sheeit down as he discovered it but some of these places I dont remember at all

So, apparently Rockstar have been toning down the graphics (such as lighting effects) in order to add more to the online side of things. If this is true, then it's just one more reason for me to hate the trend of online modes pandering to the masses. When your patches start downsizing the main game just so you can add a bunch of nonsense to the online mode, you're failing.

i also dont like that their concern for online play is taking away from the option to make DLC storys to the main game. i would love to have the prologue story with the events of the Blackwater heist. maybe even get to finally meet Mac, Davey and Jenny. even some dlc where we get to play as Sadie and do some bounty hunter shit would be great. even some Charles dlc story to. but nope, they care too much about online.

I dunno anything about the science of this but aren't the online and single player two different games? Can they not leave the story alone and just tweak RDO?

Yeah I'm not okay at all with this. I payed for the main game to be top notch, they can't just be secretly tuning it down to make online mode "better".

actually that's what a fan said that's not what officially Rockstar set and they did it to make all mine and main story play better not just online

You're lacking some serious self awareness on this one.

But if people didn't have issues with the lag previously, this does no favors for them.

I have leggy moments in SP, but I expect that because I'm on a base PS4 and the game and attention to detail is gaddamn huge. I'm not gonna lie and say I've noticed a graphical downgrade personally, but I haven't had a drastic decrease in lag either so where's the benefit? I would've been better off not knowing about any of this because I'm still playing it gradually, still finding new areas but not doing much exploring so I've been chalking up the weird things I've been seeing to the environment that I was in plus the dynamic weather.

I'da been none the wiser, but since I haven't played since I've seen the articles, I'll prolly notice now. Or maybe not, they said this has been a slow rollout since Dec and that's when I got the game... or was it early Jan? Either way, Rockstar is usually pretty good in the realm of transparency. A bunch of folks are betrayed by this, good intentions or not

Red Dead 1 had online and I don't remember being the shitfest that everyone is hating in RDR2. Not sure what they did differently?

Easy answer? It wasn't stuck beta status several months after the game's launch. It had plenty of content to start playing right from the start. Which is currently the polar opposite of RDR2's online mode.

I'm over here secretly hoping that Red Dead Online is a failure, just so we can get GTA6 sooner. The entire landscape of the Rockstar online "money machine" makes me worry about how long the intervals between the big releases will be. Hell...I kinda feel like GTA6 is finished, and they're just gonna sit on it till 2021 or something.

I respect that the money made from GTAV online probably single handedly helped RD2 be such an amazing game to begin with. Obviously the studio needs to spend money to make money. But...yeah, at the same time, it just gives them way too much leeway to delay things for the sake of meeting quotas.

I'm pretty sure GTA online still technically in beta status
