Marston being unable to swim is both amusing and frustrating at the same time. I miss being able to ford small bodies of water with Arthur. John just sinks like a rock. And the worst part is, I keep forgetting and almost dying.

Dammit. I ran too close to the train with my horse and he died. Now I'm stuck carrying my saddle in the middle of nowhere, it's cold and my health is draining and it seems to be miles from the nearest place to get a horse. Sometimes I miss RDR1's logic where you could just whistle for a horse and it would come.

Im pretty sure if you kill yourself youll just be given another random horse. When my horse died I blew myself up because it noticed if you die before your horse itll sometimes be okay. It wasnt, my horse died, but another shitty horse showed up.

Always ensure you have a horse stabled... that's my best advice.

 

I've died many times, and horses I've owned have died several times... but trusty Mr. Ed seems to always be there for Arthur.

I have the big horse that you get at some point from one of your gang members, the thoroughbred stabled. I got a horse I caught in the wild hitched somewhere. No matter where I am, if Im close to him, hell come running. And I got my trusty Snow White Arabian as my main horse.

Yeah I liked my old horse but now hes dead and my new one just doesnt have that it factor and to make matters worse Im trying to do the mission where you chase down Jamie and that *censored*er is quick. Too quick for my new horse. Sucks I payed $50 for it.

I had the same $12 horse from the stable in Valentine for about 90% of the whole game. I called her Commodore.

 

 

I ended up switching to Beull when I was allowed to after finishing Hamish's hunting side missions.

I wouldn't have been too upset about the end of the game, if I hadn't been riding Buell when that shit went down. Made the death of your horse that much worse. I promised Hamish that I would take care of old Buell. *Man tears intensify*

If it has a crown drawn above the sketch of the animal on the map, it is a legendary animal.

Ive only caught one legendary animal outside of the mission where youre first put on to them. Thats the Bison near Lake Isabella. Killed it with an arrow too.

Pretty certain I've captured more legendary fish than legendary animals the last time I checked... so there's that.

Pretty sure my legendary fish stopped working. Because, I can go to the marked spots and fish for a hour with the special lures, and not catch the fish that are marked there. Was some shit that happened post credits. I swear, there's nothing I could do any differently. I go to the exact spot, use the right lure...end up catching nothing but muskies. I actually haven't played the game in a couple weeks, mainly because I was frustrated by this lack of progression.

But Marston can't swim...so I would just have a dead fish floating out where I couldn't get it.

 

 

Which reminds me...I once caught a legendary fish (by the lighthouse)...and I was climbing over the rocks with it, slid, fell, and dropped it. Well...that son of a bitch fell and found the tightest crevice to wedge itself in. I finally got it out by shooting it...but I really thought it was just stuck in the there for good. I should have recorded it. Because, I swear...the crack in the rocks where this thing fell was like tailor made for that to happen. Lmao.

The legendary bear mauled me like I was Leonardo Decrapio in the Revenant and afterwards I didn't even have a scratch. Probably the least amount of realism I've seen in this game so far.

You definitely get huge scratches on your character if you get mauled by a bear or cougar. So...that must have been a glitch or something.

Nothing lasts permanently...but the wounds are there until you change clothes or whatever.

Yeah that's what I was thinking that my clothes would be so messed up I'd need to get new ones.

Just had the most brutal accident with my horse. I jumped off a boulder maybe 5 feet down and it turned it's whole body around and hit it's head on the rock, blood everywhere. I was able to revive my horse though. Wish I had video of this one.

Just really started getting into it and the first legendary I ran into jacked me up but the damage disappeared like immediately after the cutscene.

 

How long did they say this game was because I swear I've spent three hours playing tonight and I only did one mission. It's going to be awhile before I finish this one
