Kinda funny that I'm hearing complaints about R* not showing this at E3. It's like...we already have trailers for it, and we already have a release date. That's personally all that I want/need. October will be here sooner than people expect, and we'll all have the game.

As for the trailer that dropped today...this game looks great, and I'm sure it will be a great game. But I'm still personally not as moved by this as I was for the original Redemption. I still don't like this character...and the storyline isn't grabbing me either. Less about the wild and more about corruption and wealth in the west, and that isn't really my cup of tea. But it's R*, so I'm fully expecting to be proven wrong.

You better like him.

But my only real issue with this is that Im not a prequel guy. I dont know what it is. Its still a new story I guess, but Im more interested in what happens after Johns death. You got to play as his son and mess around but that is a revenge story waiting to happen so its annoying to be going backwards.

Jack got his revenge at the very end though with not many lose ends left and by that time with grown up Jack, it was like 1920 or something.

Going back 12 or so years is interesting because that's when the wild west was starting to die and could be nice seeing the dutch gang in it's prime before it went to shit.

As shown with this trailer, there's a connection with young John Marston and new progonist Morgan. best friends or something. My guess is Morgan turns on dutch and the gang when they leave John for dead and in the end John turns up alive but Morgan dies and John spends years looking for revenge while fleeing with his family to lead to Red Dead. Then again there could be lots of twists.

I need to look up all the references John made to his past in the last game as I forgot some

Im sure theres more there though that Jack could be looking to rectify. Go on like a full government hunt and wipe everybody the *Censored* out. I would love to play that. But like I said, that was my only issue, Im sure this will be better than I could imagine.

I like Morgan much more in this trailer but then again, he didn't say much lol. He seemed more neutral though like a guy trying to change his ways while in the last trailer he seemed to enjoy being an outlaw and loyal to Dutch.

Seems like he's going to save a young John Marston from somebody and so instant hero!

The breakdown of the special edition packs is something that has pissed me off over the past few days.

The physical loot is cool. And the in-game DLC incentives are fine too (in the case of things like horses, clothes, and weapons). But, I *censored*ing hate that they have mission content as a special edition exclusive. Once you start having actual mission content as an incentive to pay more, it stops feeling like a fair incentive, and more like "you want the full game? pay us more". I don't mind added missions in the form of a season pass...because that content is unfinished, and you get access to it when it is finished. But this sounds like a mission that should be in the game already, which they are withholding specifically to charge extra for the special edition. And that shit irks me quite a bit. Probably the first major beef I've ever had with Rockstar, tbh.

Yeah it's an absolute joke tbh. Pre-order bonus's are already bad enough for the gaming industry. I just don't agree for paying for something before it's been made.

So those 2 missions are not early access for those Edition owners, they are really exclusive to them? They will never be available separately on the PS Store as DLCs for those who didn't buy the Collector Edition? Pre-order DLC bonus never bothered because if you end up liking a game, you can still buy the DLC bonus later. That sound terrible.

They probably will be available in the store at some point but its still bullshit how they strip some small things back from the full game of people who dont pre-order from a certain supplier or dont pre-order at all.

Pre-ordering in the gaming industry has been bullshit, you shouldnt have exclusive content timed or not to have access to all the game the developers make.

kinda like with WWE'13 when different retailers had specific pre-order CM Punk t-shirt dlc like the ice cream bar tee for one store, another Punk shirt was for another store.

and then there is the Adam West Batsuit ONLY for the PS4 version of Arkham Knight while XB1 (and PS4) got the rest of the Batman'66 stuff.

i hate shit like that. if games are for both PS4 and XB1, then ALL dlc should be for both consoles.

DLC is a GREAT concept since it was implemented, but game developers and Company's ruined its enjoyment by making it a money grab in such a shady af way.
