"Repackaging" original characters

Have you ever downloaded someone else's original CAW and then repackaged them for your universe? Change their name and moves?

 

I've found myself doing it lately for my all CAW universe. Just wanted to see if I was alone on that

Yeh, I did it once. I was looking to make a character called 'The Gross', and typed things associated with it (like 'monster', 'weird'), and saw this hideous CAW.

 

I used it as a template and edited it, added horrible stains, made him fat, changed his attire a bit and viola!

nah you definitely not alone, pal. i downloaded some decent celebrity CAWs and gave them ring attires, and eventually make myself an "original CAWs" universe with them.

 

there's a good Michael B Jordan CAW on PS4. Dude always looks athletic af so I downloaded it, gave him a proper wrestling attire and use it on MyCareer.

Not on 2k16. I did on 2K15 however, but then of course I couldn't allow myself to show them off.

Not without the uploaders consent. I do use one of Graeme's caws, for instance. (though to be fair, I helped with it by making some of the logos).

Yeah, I made Bryan Black my own character with my own tweaking. Think, an African-American with the whole "Bare knuckle fighter gimmick" that Wade Barrett had, except he used his fists to win to get out of the streets of Chicago and win championships becoming the top dog in his promotion.

 

Filled his moveset up with a lot of punches and I tweak other small details.
