XXX.
Bryan Alvarez noted on today’s edition of Wrestling Observer Live that he was informed by a WWE source that the next two weeks of Raw might be “rough viewing”, as it appears WWE has finalized some of the Survivor Series plans and things don’t look too good. In related news, WWE has posted the following, which explains the traditional Survivor Series elimination match rules, and the blurb teases only one traditional Survivor Series match for this year’s PPV: With Survivor Series fast approaching, get reacquainted with the rules of the match that put WWE’s autumn classic on the map: The Traditional 5-on-5Survivor Series Elimination Tag Team Match. The 10-Superstar war of attrition has been a staple ofSurvivor Series dating back to the inaugural event in 1987. With two teams of five locked in battle, the bout only ends when an entire team has been eliminated from action. Superstars can be eliminated in any of the following ways: * Pinfall * Submission * Count-out * Disqualification Once eliminated, a Superstar must leave ringside and return to the locker room. The single-elimination format allows for the balance of power to continually shift throughout the match, giving way to potential scenarios as extreme as a 5-on-1 match-up. Those survivors who avoid elimination will be crowned the winners. Don’t miss the return of one of WWE’s most enduring contests — the Traditional 5-on-5 Elimination Tag Team Match — when Survivor Series airs live, only on WWE Network, Sunday, Nov. 22, at 8 ET/5 PT. LOL Great.

lightning116
How do you ruin Survivor Series? Oh wait, the 2009 edition. Never mind.

Crazy.
.....So what? With all the rivalries currently going on and all the potential at their disposal to book multiple elimination tag bouts, they're just gonna have one.
Zonda
I wouldn't read into that too much. They are just talking about what the match is about. Nowhere does it say there will only be one traditional Survivor Series match

Can't even think of that many feuds going on at the moment.
lightning116
If that's the case, why not do a Wild Card Survivor Series match then? Just like they did twenty years ago around that time?

It is but it had/has potential to be more than filler this year with guys Ziggler, Breeze, Cesaro, Lucha Dragons, New Day, Owens, Rusev, Ryback, Dudleys, Del Rio all at least semi-relevant and would also fit in nicely. I still hope they do it, can really do without another divas traditional tag elimination match in which they get eliminated off of dropkicks and suplexes. Trying really hard not to post spoilers, but I'd assume the champions are having title bouts. Although you can get away with the New Day in one of these tag matches. The trio of Sheamus, Rusev and Barrett are almost the pure definition of doing jack shit, so you could put them in. But yeah, can't have New Day and those 3. Then you would need 2 matches. Fully agreed on no diva tag match please. Unless Sasha is in it. And Becky Lynch. And only those two, the whole two and nothing but the two. Brie Bella eliminating both of them from a 2-on-1 scenario after a 'BrieeeEeEEeeEEeEEeEeEe MoOOOOoOOOoooOooOode' inspired double dropkick from the top rope would be dope imo.
