After a year away...I'm baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack. Still working out the kinks as far as a few features, but I at the very least have produced fruits of my labor being completely new to the current gen creation suite. And how to I kick things off? With "The Archetype" of course. I give you Dru Nedermeyer.

I may do some further tweaks, but I dig the way he came out.

I remember him, I quite like how he's turned out this year. Are you planning on adding a face texture to him? I remember he looked a little older before.

 

That's one of the things I'm trying to figure out...lol.

 

 

Yeah, I tried it last year and couldn't get anything I liked. The whole process of it this year looks to be improved so I am more hopeful I can use it.

My brother put me on to a trick that's going to make re-creating my characters soooooooooooooooo much easier. Taking a snapshot of their head with no hair from the last game we had (2K14) and using that as the face texture for the new version. Works like a charm as they not ONLY have whatever facial hair texturing still on them, but it pretty much allows us to completely duplicate their face structures. I'll update this post with and example in a bit.

Well, hopefully the damn website/Community Creations are up and running still when I get home. 2K is stimying my creative process with their techinical difficulties. FIX YO SHEET DAMMIT!!!

Time for an update. As mentioned before, I'm now using past gen screenshots for face textures and morphing. The results have been astounding, and here's why.

As you can see, Evan's changed quite a bit. I decided to make his main look a more traditional, yet modern attire as opposed to the Hardy Boy look he's always rocked. (Though that look will be available as an alternate) The stretch/fade glitch on logos sidelined my original tattoo idea for him, so I altered the layout a bit. Still managed to put together something fairly realistic that I'm satisfied with. The face texture worked perfectly, and he retains the same face shape of his past gen self, though some things had to be tweaked a bit. Overall, I'm VERY satisfied with him. Aside from a couple alternate attires, I'd say he's pretty much done. I'll post and update when he's available for download.

This is the final draft for Dru. The only change from the 1st one I posted is the face, which like Evan uses his WWE2K14 face as the texture and base of shape. he pretty much looks spot on to his past gen self, which I like...and makes my job making CAWS that much easier. Just gotta go grab screens of the rest of my roster. Like Evan, he's 90% complete. All that's left is making alternate attires and he'll be ready to unleash upon the world.
In the next update, I'll be showcasing Blake Evans, Jayson Jones...and The Destroyer. ;)

UPDATE

 

After a week of work, figuring out what works, what doesn't and how to put it all together, I'm finally ready to release my 1st character pack: Dru Nedermeyer, Evan Slade, and the following are now available for download. Hashtag is Oz70NYC_CAW. Without further delay, here are the others I've completed. I'm going to leave the backstory out, as many people already know the history of my character...and I have something else planned as far as telling character backstory. ;)
