Carson seems like the smartest of the bunch, but seems too passive to be a good leader in these times. He would make a good surgeon general or something else like that.

I think that's a fair point. I think because he's so calm, compared to someone like Trump, that it makes him seem like he wouldn't be a good leader.

I want to watch more of him but my gut makes me think that hes the type of guy who would try to reason with you up until the moment he realized he couldn't anymore and than he would kick your ass IF he had to.

Who the *Censored* picked Trump? Like how much of a retard would have to be to vote for a meme to be President? What next are you gonna vote for Gangnam Style in 2020? Scumbag Steve 2024?

Trump is popular because he refuses to be politically correct and is against immigration. Also likely due to the drama.

Please think before you post. Its a crazy concept, but it goes a long way. Calling people "retarded" for their opinions is a great way to have an interesting thread get closed real quick. Either be respectful as everyone else has done or I will respectfully ask you to just be quiet.

the *censored*er would get us bombed and attacked by different countries. Obama did a good job making US look a bit more respectable (would have been a lot more, but lolamericans), but Trump would destroy any little good rep we have.

I think we've had this debate before but, do you care to go into detail on that one?

Simply by reading tons of people not from America praising Obama while criticizing Americans, their love for guns, and their criticisms of president. Even if I am wrong, he actually gets praised more than Bush.

My first comment isn't so much in response to you, but more people in general: Who cares about Bush? Why do people, whenever talking about Obama feel the need to compare him to Bush. It's like me getting pulled over by a cop and he says I did 85 in a 55 and I scream...Yeah but the guy behind me did 90! So?? Two wrongs don't make a right and both Bush and Obama were bad presidents.

But the reason I asked you is because the Internet Wrestling Community seems to make praising Obama and bashing America, the "popular" thing to do. The fact seems to be that other countries don't respect Obama at all. Iran is running him over and tricking him into eventually getting Nukes and Russia isn't respecting him by taking over the air in Syria. Obama has made the US look weak in more ways than not.

Interestingly, people either defend Bush or argue against him being brought up when someone defends Obama. Bush is very important because he is the president before Obama, just as Bill Clinton is important when talking about Bush as Clinton came before Bush. Obama doesn't seem to be as bad a president, although his war crimes seem to be just as bad, along with his views on immigration (probably one of the very few things I'm right wing about).

But it's not "popular." People out of country and those who don't like the republicans' inane ways praise Obama and bash the citizens for a reason.

I am not sure about that, given what republicans like to say about the deal with Iran. Putin doesn't respect anyone either, but at least there's no meme of Obama choking on food or saying he didn't have sexual relations with a man or woman.

The fact is this country has had 16 straight years of bad leadership and decline in many different facets, and by the looks of things we may be in for another four. Pretty sad because there are probably way better leaders out there that will never get a chance to be president.

Opinion. I thought Obama was a great president...in almost every way (keyword being almost).

Felt he could be better if republicans and eventually democrats weren't asshats and opposed everything he proposed.

Does an underdog ever even wim these elections? Like who else but Hillary now right?

Depends at what stage of the election you're talking about. Some could say Obama was an underdog going into the 08 election because people thought Hillary would be facing McCain. Bill Clinton and Ronald Reagan were also underdogs at one point or another before eventually becoming president.

Sanders is a puppet just like the rest of them. Nothing will change with any of these candidates.

Dunno, I feel like he can actually bring positive change to the country. At least, it'd be more positive than any other candidate, and unlike a lot of candidates Sanders has actually stuck to his ideas for years.

I've never voted in my life, and I may not vote this election (but if Trump somehow does end up getting the nod from the Republicans I may just have to). I'd say I probably side more as a Democrat though (I did like Chris Christie's thoughts when he was interviewed on The Daily Show though). Honestly I don't know who I want to end up being the Democratic candidate. I like what I've heard from Sanders, Clinton, and O'Malley, but I don't know which one out of them I'd prefer to have.

A question for any Republicans here or maybe Democrats who don't like Trump. What do you think of Dr. Ben Carson who is pretty close behind him?

I think he's a buffoon. His thoughts on mass shootings are just asinine (really, a person with multiple guns or an automatic weapon will only be able to shoot one person at a time?). Not to mention his belief that the Holocaust would have never happened if the Jews had guns is utterly retarded. And then there's his whole thing about being in Popeyes and telling the gunman to go shoot somebody else. Oh wait, that never happened, because it was revealed that he lied and made it up. He's just really dumb to me. But hey, at least he isn't Trump.

This two party system is really killing American politics. I know a president doesn't have to be Democrat or Republican but its very unlikely someone from outside those two parties would win. While I agree with a lot of what republicans want for this country, as a Hispanic I fear this may end up harming me more. Democrats on the other hand seem to live in this magic fairy world filled with candy and bunnies where we all need to get along in peace and harmony without hurting anybodies feelings, sadly this world doesn't exist and we have terrorist breathing down our necks and entire countries that want our downfall, not to get along with us. Lets worry about our safety first and peoples feelings later.

Ben Carson seems to be a douche, but what made me never vote for him is when he said a Muslim shouldn't be president. No religious person should be, for that matter, religions are too destructive in position of power. It seems nearly all republican candidates have said something so stupid and asinine, from Jebby to Trump.

Ahhh Jebby, I enjoyed seeing you caught offguard when questioned about why America was "safe" under Bush's watch when 911 happened. And let's not forget Carley "Fetus" Fiorina.

Sanders is Jewish, isn't he?

Also in regards to the comments Carson made. I believe he never said a Muslim shouldn't be president. He said that a Muslim that supports things such as Sharia law (which is anti-gay, ant-women among other things) should not be president.

Unlike me, you've got a lot more faith in our current system. We should be more advanced than we currently our. Besides making Gay Marriage legal, we have done nothing significant, that I can think of, in the past 20 years. Every president has come with war or a terror attack. Nothing ever changes. Just more destruction.

America was the opposite of safe under Bush. I wonder if Jeb truly believes in his brother keeping America safe or if it's just a way to look better.

He is, but he doesn't seem to let his faith run things like most republicans do.

He said that about the sharia law a week after his comment about a Muslim becoming president, if CNN is to be believed. Odd thing is though, aren't most republicans against homosexuality? I'm not sure if they're sexist or don't see women as equals, though.

I barely have any faith in the current system that tries to appeal to rich people and weapons industry. I just feel like Sanders would be better received than Obama as he's white, even though he's a democrat. I feel like if a republican becomes a president, we'll be taking major steps back.

That is true, as well as war crimes being committed.

I am German and I don't care about your dumb American elections.

...

Whoever is the least likely to start a goddamn war...

Have fun battling the Muslim hordes that are flooding into Europe right now bud.

Yeah...you know nothing, John Snow...

I just don't understand why we need parties at all. I think political parties are the route of all evil. They're basically in place just to tell people who are too lazy or dumb to make educated opinions who they should vote for. It's ridiculous.

Worst thing about parties are the idiotic point of views some people have thanks to it.

"My family always voted for the Republicans, so that's why I have to do that too."

"We can't vote for them. He's a [socialist/nationalist/communist/democrat/republican/liberal/conservatives]!"

"My vote doesn't matter anyway..."

...

I find it immensely stupid whenever people say "omg Muslims are trying to take over our country!!" Especially when Americans say it, given they did the same to Native Americans. Took free land and turned it into properties.
