I knew there would be too many comparisons between IT 2017 and Stranger Things.

Why wasn't Stranger Things compared to E.T., Original IT, The Goonies and Monster Squad?

Because none of them came out recently.

Ive seen and heard ST been compared to all of those. Its an 80s throwback sci fi, monster adventure flick starring children. Its taken inspiration from all of those listed and more. OF COURSE the show was compared to all of them.

ST hasnt been compared to IT too many times. Because like, how is that a bad thing? Both things are well written, produced and successful. Plus as they both came out recently its only natural for people to bring one up when talking about the other, hell I bet the creators of IT want us to mention them in same breath. The creators of ST also want us to talk about their show when talking about a major horror franchise such as IT, regardless of which version.

Its not a bad thing at all. But some folk pretend it is by calling them rip-offs of each other.

And those people are idiots.

Theres a weird thing these days where people think being compared to something is a bad thing. Especially if the two things are remotely similar. Why shouldnt ST and IT be compared? Theyre very similar on a lot of regards and both are successful in many ways.

Ripoffs exist...but you'll know em when you see em. Sometimes you browse through Netflix and you see 'Kung Fu Kangaroo' or something...and it's just blatantly a ripoff of Kung Fu Panda...or you'll see 'Pirates of the Mediterranean' or something. Those are ripoffs...but most of the stuff that people complain about is either influenced by something else...or paying an obvious homage.

Those will all be from the movie studios Asylum which although they're known for rip-off movies usually coming out when the new movies are in the theaters

wish Dylan would do another show of somekind. He actually came to do a show near me, but I couldn't scrap together some money for the ticket.

Impressed with Mindhunter. I like how in most netflix series, characters are somehow realistic, but still dramatised enough. Some shows really do get a fine balance with their scripts. Narcos, House of cards, Bloodline, Mindhunters...

Glad I don't care about House of Cards...also, 5 seasons is a decent run. Hopefully it ended in a way that could be "good enough" for the fans. And, yeah...everything I read says "suspended indefinitely"...not canceled. They will probably put out a couple episodes eventually that just tie up loose ends and explain why the show is ending. Episodes without Spacey, obviously. I'm assuming the rest of the cast is strong enough to carry at least a few episodes like that...
