Big Differences When Going From PS2 to PS3/360 (Pros/Cons)

Recommended Posts

When i was going from PS2 version of WWE All-Stars to 360 Version almost everything changes.

PS2 PROS

  • Create Wrestlers
  • Master Cheat Code Works
  • Multitap
  • Good Controls

PS2 CONS

  • Locks The Frame Rate To 30FPS (60FPS in Result Screen and Create A Wrestler Depending On What You Customize)
  • No Progressive Scan
  • Letterboxes The Menus
  • Very Limited Creation In Create A Wrestler
  • Sometimes Mono Sound
  • Slow Gameplay
  • Sometimes Glitches
  • No DLC
  • Long Loading Times

NOTE: Some of these Cons are also on PSP and Wii as well. 3DS excluded as i don't have that one.

Xbox 360/PS3 PROS

  • Full 60FPS Graphics
  • Brighter Colors
  • Faster Gameplay
  • More Advanced Creation In Create A Wrestler
  • Achievements And Trophies
  • Dolby Digital Surround Sound
  • Includes DLC You Can Download
  • Online Multiplayer
  • Balanced AI

Xbox 360/PS3 CONS

  • Master Cheat Code Will Only Work When The Game Is NOT Updated.
  • You Have To Win 10 Times Per Wrestler To Unlock Finishers And Entrances.
  • No Custom Soundtracks

Bottom Line: If You Want To Play A Game That Has Fast Dreamcast Like Graphics And Gameplay Go With The Xbox 360/PS3 Version.

I honestly think everything is better on the 360 compared to the PS2. I think even the PSP version has somethings that make it better than the PS2 version like DLC and some new modes.

I've been wanting to play the PSP version because it had something new similar to the beat the streak mode where you just keep going until you lose.
