Your hopes for career mode

2K15's career mode had so much potential but was botched badly, If it returns again for this game then what are your hopes? I'd really like it if it set up like..

-Your created wrestler(male or female)debuts in NXT, Claims that they were huge in other places but now they are in NXT to take it and eventually WWE by storm. Your character speaks by picking a selection of voices or by text.

-You have a couple of matches before entering mini feuds with people like Corban and Tyler Breeze or Bayley and Sasha Banks if you're a female, If you win the feuds then you get to look for a partner and tag team or go straight for a title shot but if you lose those mini feuds then you start again until you enter new mini feuds and win.

-You're in NXT for just a couple of months(depending on your success)before you get called up to the main roster for Superstars for a month or two before debuting on Raw, From there you enter feuds on both Raw and Smackdown but if you start losing or have bad matches then you get bumped down to Superstars and Main Event. Once you fill up bars of your road to titles of your own choosing you get put in big PPV matches.

-Grinding for social media followers is no long a big necessity to progress

-You choose to be a face or heel from the very beginning and can switch after certain progress

-You get to use your move set when you import a created wrestler in the beginning but still have to grind a bit for certain abilities, skills and of course overall

I agree completely. We should be getting new storylines and decide who we wants to be feud against like SYM or HCTP at least for the first few months down in NXT (assuming we're getting storylines after storylines ahead of us when brought to the main roster)

Exploit the branching storyline because it had so much potential. And its all to get rid of the "you're not ready" and "we have no opponent for you". I've been a World Heavyweight Champion for 7months and in that period of time, most of it were fighting a random guys in dark or opening matches.

In short, if they're THAT lazy, just copy paste the NBA/Fight Night career modes. What we had in 2k15 career mode was complete and utter shit.

Your CAW actually having a voice and not being a mute like they have been over several years, that is loooonnngg overdue. Also, not a repetitive career mode where it just felt like a bunch of exhibition matches.

This. Also, I'd prefer some heel/face tactics. I remember trying really hard to be heel in 2k15, but I couldn't do it. The meter kept going towards face no matter what I did, weapons attacks, countouts, disrespectful conversations with rivals, taunting. Nothing worked.

There is so much you could do to make your character feel like something special

Background mode-using the default CAS approach, have you compete in made up indie Feds, having scouts looks at you. I know this is far fetched, but it would feel like a start to something big.

building a persona-have you select from different types of gimmicks(dark, flashy, loner, bodyguard to name a few) and build different paths. This would give your character different paths and approach feuds and stables in unique ways.

Interview modes-Use segments such as MizTV,peep show, as building blocks for stories. It would be amazing to be able to have your own segment (especially if your character had a flashy persona) to make statements and build rivalries, along with rising your fan heat

Stable build-form alliances and scout talent for stables. Ultimately leading to possible break ups and furthered development

Build a legacy-become a specialist in certain mode types, or even build a streak similar to the Undertakers at Wrestlemania. This would allow for more exciting playability and goals outside of the cookie cutter win a belt, end the game.

More story lines-feuding with HHH for control of the company, a Goldberg/Rusev like streak, and such.

better default CAS characters-If they insist on having default CAS, then please let them be more diverse and look like somewhat of a real superstar.also, minor thing, have the trainees in actual training gear.

Retirement mode-adding a possibly of injuries or early retirement, in which you can choose to have a new CAS become your protege.

Most of this will never happen. But to me, all of this would build a career mode I would look forward to replaying.

We need way more cutscenes too

Wait, 2K15 had cut scenes?

Like 2 every 5 months I swear

The Brock/Heyman entrance cutscene was the best one imo, wish they had that entrance selectable in CAE!

I hope MyCareer in 2K16 is endless, *Censored* that "Oh you have to retire now that you became WWE World Heavyweight Champion ... which we still don't have anything for you anyway!" shit lol. And just give us lots of choices for face/heel routes.

I hope you can still advance by losing matches. If they're good matches, you should get credit. Some of the best superstars most famous matches, they lost in. Shawn Michaels came out of that ladder mach better than Razor did. Good matches should reward you, even if you lose.

I wish you'd be able to import other CAWS in your career so you're not playing against *censored*ing Barron Blade.

I'd also have Career mode notice if you go on an undefeated/winning/losing streak and maybe how quick you win matches, how technical you are, high flying or heelish you are using taunts, and cheap tactics.

Yeah, I was undefeated from NXT to mid Smackdown career and was waiting to be pushed like Goldberg or something but it was the same low card matches with same opponents for apparently 2 years. Only championships I got to go for was the NXT and WWE WHC and win streaks or big loses didn't mean shit at all, even on Raw

I want it to be more realistic and not that fantasy BS it was in 2K15. I don't wanna hear Regal contacting me saying "yeah we got high hopes for you so win 4 matches and you get your NXT title shot!!". Even guys like Balor who obviously was a big name, still had to wait almost a year until they gave him the title. It would be nice if there were consequences for losing or pulling off badly rated matches (which is also something they have to fix, not every damn match can be a instant classic). Consequences like officials losing hope and giving you less important matches or not booking you at all. It would make us feel like there is a constant thread for losing your position so we have to do our best to have interesting matches. Right now it doesn't matter, you can have 5 star or 1 star matches, the game books you the same way.

I know this is probably a long shot to ask especially for this year, but maybe one year it will happen.

Amazingly this sums up why I hated the mode, 2k were trying too hard to kayfabe a career, that it ended up being a shit version of a UFC career mode

I wan't a career mode like HCTP, Talking to people backstage, interfering in matches, Buying things at the Shopzone, asking for title matches. Not "Tune Up or Dark Match" for 15 weeks in a row, then a cutscene "Do your OMG or Finisher in the next 3 matches" then 10 more weeks of "Sorry we have nothing for you" "Tune up or Dark Match"

Without saying, I'd like to see Divas incorporated somehow in Career Mode. It doesn't have to be anything major or huge, maybe a Diva could start off as a wrestler in NXT and then having the option of either being a manager or a wrestler on the main roster. The goal if you select to be the manager is to take your a wrestler to the top.

Another option I would like to see added to Career Mode is the ability to use an already established Legend in Career Mode. Think of it like a one last match journey. Again, it doesn't have to be anything long lasting. It could be a short story mode of a returning legend wanting to either headline WrestleMania one more time or become World champion. Perhaps, it could be similar to Ric Flair's last WWE story line where if you lose, you must retire...To extend it out, you could possibly mentor a wrestler and do some tag team matches which would result in a feud down the line.
