The company announced that Ibushi has bene booked for both the April 1st and April 2nd EVOLVE events in Dallas, as well as the April 2nd Mercury Rising Supershow. classiq. Posted April 7, 2016 Report Share Posted April 7, 2016 PWInsider reports that EVOLVEs relationship with WWE is resulting in some signficant changes to the former. According to the site, the promotion will be focusing more on talent that has potential to move onto WWE developmental deals going forward. While the company is still open to using talent that is under contract elsewhere in shorter runs or as guest stars for some events, the plan is to have a pool of talent that WWE scouts could see. As part of this, Sami Callihan has finished with the company as of last weekend and is moving on to Lucha Underground. He could still pop up in the company from time to time but a long-term storyline is more difficult to fit into the companys plans. It just seems like they'd rather have experienced guys who has the potential to move on to WWE. All those guys won't be that great though. I think this can end up hurting Evolve in the long run. He impressed during his tryout and WWE basically verbally signed him, but with his limited pro wrestling experience and their relationship with Evolve, it was WWE who got Evolve to book Riddle so he can get some experience under his belt.
