I enjoy the promotion, it's not on the same sphere as say ROH or PWG in terms of buzz, but the matches are enjoyable, some decent fued's. I've enjoyed the Roddy/Galloway feud

One thing that bugs me a little about it, is there virtually no tag teams in the promotion anymore, not that I'm the Bravado Brothers biggest fan but it baffled me when Gabe stopped booking them, as they were a truly recognised as a tag team only, whereas the premier athlete brand and Ronin as made up of people who predominantly do singles matches

I do like that they keep the ppvs to usually 6 matches and 2 hours, meaning they generally don't have "filler" matches

TNA wrestler Davey Richards suffered a bad concussion and is unable to fly or wrestle. EVOLVE pulled him from this weekends events.

That's tough. He was booked to face Zack Sabre Jr. I believe which was a big draw to this weekend's events.

Potential NXT spoilers:

noted, top indie stars Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa worked a tag team match at Thursday's WWE NXT TV at Full Sail University. EVOLVE mentioned this blurb on Gargano working the tapings in their e-mail blast today:

"Congrats to Johnny Gargano on his return to NXT last night. The upcoming weeks of NXT on Wednesday nights on the WWE Network should be very interesting. Gargano is still with WWN and he will return home to EVOLVE this weekend. We are very proud when we look at the NXT tapings and WWE TV every week and see many names from WWN including Gargano, Apollo Crews, Solomon Crowe, Neville, Kalisto, Luke Harper and Dean Ambrose among others. You can jump on the bandwagon now and support the new generation with EVOLVE this week."

Evolve addressed rumors of their working relationship with WWE in a press released issued by the promotion.

“You have supported us and you deserve an answers. You want to know what’s going on with WWE and The WWN Family. This is the absolute truth. There are no answers. Yes, there is obviously a growing relationship. What direction it will take is unknown.”

The press release continued, “There are rumors and speculation, but this relationship changes and develops almost weekly. This is a road that has never been traveled before. There is no precedent. We don’t know what to expect nor what is possible. All this means is that anything can happen. There are infinite possibilities. The only sure thing is that this will be a wild, unpredictable and thrilling ride. We will all find out where this road goes together. There is no telling what will happen next.”

EVOLVE officially announced yesterday that they will be crowning official Tag Team champions in 2016. That was pretty obvious given the storylines of late. Announced for the tournament thus far are Johnny Gargano & Drew Galloway, Roppongi Vice and Anthony Nese & Caleb Konley. So, they are putting a lot of the top names in.

Peter Kaasa, who blew EVOLVE officials away at the NYC loop, was officially signed to an EVOLVE contract last week.

EVOLVE is also thrilled with Matt Riddle, who they are considering a top talent for the company after just four appearances. Riddle has been working and training with Drew Gulak (who is awesome in his own right) and has shown a ton of potential.

In another sign of the WWE relationship, Sami Zayn, Rich Swann and Biff Busick all plugged the EVOLVE Florida events over the weekend on their social medial.

EVOLVE 51 and 52 from last weekend are on VOD at www.WWNLive.com

EVOLVE officials feel that champion Timothy Thatcher really emerged in a major way with great matches over the Florida loop and there's no question at this point that he's the top guy in the company after awesome matches against Johnny Gargano and Drew Galloway. The idea was that Thatcher beat each of the previous "faces" of the company in one week to take that mantle himself.

The latest Seminar/Tryout sold out again. There are plans to have many more of these in 2016.

The next EVOLVE loop will be the 2016 WWE Royal Rumble weekend with events on 1/22/16 with EVOLVE 52 at the Orpheum in Ybor City, FL, 1/23 EVOLVE 54 at the Orlando Downtown Recreation Complex in Orlando, FL and EVOLVE 55 on 1/24 at the Orlando Downtown Recreation Complex in Orlando. The Orlando venue really close to the Rumble venue. The Tag tournament will be held over that weekend. The promotion will be dark the remainder of this year.

The promotion, however, is gearing up for a big Black Friday sale as they have Blu-rays from EVOLVE, SHINE and FIP in production right now to go along with nine recent releases.

There are already plans for a NYC return next year.

WWE's relationship with WWN Live and their Evolve Wrestling promotion has been a topic of discussion amongst WWE officials as of late. WWE officials, Triple H in particular, are focused on expanding NXT and making it bigger, and there are currently plans to have NXT do more touring throughout 2016, essentially going on the road full-time.

If and when this happens, there is some talk about sending the least experienced talents in NXT and having them work for WWN/Evolve so they can gain more experience before joining the NXT brand on the road.

So in essence, WWN's Evolve may become the developmental territory for NXT as NXT continues to blur the line between a developmental territory and a full-on brand along the lines of Raw and SmackDown.
