It looks like you've kinda squished everything down, but realistically the eyes should be so much higher up. I've been thinking of doing Hero and trialling a few faces, and I definitely think that's your problem here. Also a hair texture probably would work nicely, since the hairline on that style is really strange and asymmetric.
