Yeah, a lot of people love it and Meltzer gave it 5 stars which is why I decided to watch it. But to be honest to me it felt like they spammed finishers for 30 minutes with loads of no selling, I just didn't get the hype at all.

It was Elgin break out match in ROH where the fans accepted him and it also got him more bookings.

Okay so because there's no Lucha Underground until further notice I am supplanting it with last 4 days of the G1 Climax. It'll be mostly tournament matches and not the tag team openers, but I am likely going to watch the final day in its entirety.

This is the first time I've ever followed this tournament and everything I have seen so far has been incredible as I would come to expect with NJPW. Hope the recaps I've been posting were helpful.

Haven't seen the final yet, I can't say I'm surprised at the result but it sets up the WK match I was expecting with hopefully the right guy going over this time. I'm expecting it to be great when I get round to watching it mind you.

Also is Tenryu actually challenging Okada for the belt because it would be such an awesome way for a legit icon of puroresu to bow out in style.

No, it's gonna be a retirement match. No title on the line.

I noted earlier that Kazuchika Okada was backstage visiting. I was told after the show that several other New Japan talents were there, including Shinsuke Nakamura and KUSHIDA. They were in town working the ROH events. Jushin Liger was also at the PPV and is scheduled to leave tomorrow for Japan I am told, so he won't be at Raw. Not sure on the others.

As previously reported, CJ Parker will be working for New Japan Pro Wrestling as Juice Robinson. This was after he announced he would be retiring the Parker character. NXT head trainer Matt Bloom helped Parker get the NJPW job when he left. The promotion will push him in the light heavyweight division with Matt Sydal.
