Sometimes he thinks of stuff that he knows are bad ideas (like going through an upsidedown table or getting speared in mid-Whisper in the Wind), but he just does them anyway to get them out of his system. Both are clean currently. Jeff kicked it in rehab after the Bound For Glory affair, and Matt got clean a little after, after his antics nearly got him cut off from his family. This spot was not an accident. It was completely planned out ahead of time and is Jeff's temporary storyline exit from the company because he cannot travel to the UK due to his 2009 drug conviction.
