TNA Lives!

According to the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, TNA is looking to make the January 7th edition of Impact Wrestling on Destination America a “reboot” for the series, as it heads into its 11th year on air. They are apparently working on new graphics and a visual change to the way the show is presented.

Perhaps the biggest change is that former WWE announcer Josh Matthews will be replacing Mike Tenay, alongside Taz, as the new two-man commentary team for Impact every Wednesday. Matthews was let go by WWE earlier this year, and immediately signed with TNA as soon as his non-compete contact was up. They originally brought him in to be an announcer, and even relocated him to Nashville – where TNA headquarters is located – where he’s been working on various projects for the past few months, including a relaunch of the official company website.

I just looked it up. I get Desintation America, but not in HD. That sucks, but at least I still get the network. Really, why aren't all channels HD already? Does anyone still own a standard definition TV? The majority of TV owners have to have HD by now, right?

Though I gotta say, I have't been into TNA much for the past year. Really, ever since MVP came in (and I'm not blaming him) the product's been really hard to watch. Hopefully with the new channel, they go in a new creative direction too.

For me, TNA got ruined about a week or two after Hogan's TV debut. Not because of him being on my screen, but because of the creative direction.

Man, the TNA hate on this forum is huge. It doesn't surprise me that some would've rather seen TNA go under instead of getting another tv deal, sad, but considering the current shitty state of WWE but the blind allegiance and false praise this group of people gives to the product, it isn't surprising.

But anyway,I get Destination America and have been a normal viewer since before this was announced, its a decent channel if youre into haunted history shows and things like that. I think this will prove to be better for the channel itself than for TNA. But I'm glad they made a deal.
