Star Wars Discussion

Damn! That really pumped me up! I love the image of Vader's melted mask. I'm also really intrigued to see who these new baddies are.

Yeah I'm incredibly pumped to find out who the new Sith will be.

Have a huge smile on my face after that trailer. Seeing Han and Chewie for 5 seconds made me feel the most fanboyish of anything I've ever felt.

The new villains look great. Kind of reminds me of Darth Revan from KOTOR

I just hope they don't kill them off in the first film like they did with Darth Maul in the prequels.

First Star Wars movie in 10 years. I'm hyped. Just one question. Why no Lando? Billy Dee Williams is still cool nowadays. Ah, well. Ep. 8, maybe.

That's what I'm thinking. I mean he was a pretty big part in Return of the Jedi. When you watch them in chronological order it'll pretty jarring to see him gone for a movie after destroying the death star.

It might not be the droid you're looking for, but a plane painted to look like R2-D2 could be the next best thing for Star Wars fans waiting for The Force Awakens.

Japan's All Nippon Airways (ANA) has unveiled a Boeing 787 Dreamliner decorated to look like the robot.

The cockpit and front half of the white fuselage are painted with blue panels in the shape of those on the droid.

Star Wars is also written on the body of the plane behind the wing.

Images released by the company show the tail in ANA's normal livery.

All Nippon Airways says the jet will go into service on an international route later this year ahead of the film's release.

Fans got their first look at a new teaser trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens, the seventh instalment of one of the most successful movie series of all time, on Thursday.

The clip shows aerial dogfights featuring the X-Wings of the Rebel Alliance and the Tie Fighters of the Galactic Empire.

It also offers a glimpse of Han Solo and Chewbacca along with the Millennium Falcon.

The trailer ends with Han Solo, played by an Harrison Ford, saying: "Chewie, we're home."

The film is due for release in December.

Just read an article on IGN from the Star Wars Celebration thing in California and apparently the Empire is being referred too as the First Order and the Rebel Alliance is being called the Resistance.

Cant copy and paste on my phone, but you can find the report easy enough.

This, Mad Max, Ant-Man, Jurassic World, Age of Ulton...and maybe Fantastic Four and Terminator (but I think those will probably suck)...2015 is going to be an amazing year for movies.

True dude, it is an epic year for movies. Don't forget 007 Spectre and Hunger Games Mockingjay Pt 2 as well. Plus we already had Fast 7.

Terminator is gonna bomb hard IMO. Fast 7 and Hunger Games are a pile of dog shit. Everything else sounds great.

So the bad guy has been revealed to be called 'Kylo Ren' not a bad name tbh. He's marked as a "Dark Jedi" so perhaps the Sith are no longer?

There will always be some Sith out there. Always...

Yeah no doubt. Creating a new Sith Order might be part of the trilogies plot so they dont wanna give the game away that quickly

So I'm watching A New Hope for the first time. It's okay. Not a fan of the pacing and the character interactions seem odd at times. The special effects are pretty cool, I can see how they would have been considered influential and innovative back then. Appreciate the lore and the world. Hopefully, it gets much better.

Yeah, I realize what I'm watching right now is probably not even close to its full potential. And I have barely watched one-third of the movie.
