maskedmaniac
The Taya that WWE let go was not the Taya we know today, she only had wrestled a handful of matches at that time and that was still during the Diva era, 2011 i believe was when WWE signed and released her. The improvements she's made since going to Mexico have been a night and day difference. Had no idea Taya ever was in WWE. I knew he was never officially signed or anything...but Cornette is already gone from Impact. He seriously returned just to oust Prichard and take his job for a week or two. That was like the equivalent of getting some chick to split with her boyfriend and then being like "yeah...this really isn't working out". Hahaha. Didn't realize Cornette was in Impact to begin with. Guest Fight Me.
Had no idea Taya ever was in WWE. Well, sorta. She got signed but then they basically changed their minds and let her go before she even had a chance to report to FCW at the time. Similar to the Mack's situation a couple years ago. classiq.
According to Dave Meltzer, with Impact Wrestling going to Canada for Bound For Glory and the post PPV TV tapings, Jim Cornette is done with the promotion. Cornette hasnt been to Canada for years because he was turned away at the border in 2010 when they ran his record, which included a number of assaults, mostly stemming from incidents involving fights with fans who attacked him. Prior to 2010 he appeared in Canada for WWE, but started to get stopped at the border in 2010. There is no heat between the two sides. Cornette had previously agreed to work Bound for Glory after coming into work what was to be one TV Taping. Jarrett wanted Cornette in to shake things up, including the stripping of the championship from Alberto El Patron and booking of the gauntlet match, the on-screen firing of Bruce Prichard so he could return as a heel manager, and to try and make Anthem Sports & Entertainment babyfaces to the wrestling fans. With Jarrett being out, the companys creative, now headed by Scott DAmore and Sonjay Dutt, are said to be more focused on in-ring action and less on authority figure angles. Meltzer adds that Cornette has agreed to come to Nashville and do whatever would be needed on camera to do a storyline exit. Right now there is nothing set in that regard. https://411mania.com/wrestling/jim-cornette-done-impact-wrestling/

Generations
I only want one of two things to happen... 1) Billy Corgan swoops back in and buys Impact. He rebrands it as NWA again, since he owns that too. 2) WWE buys this shitshow and puts them out of their misery.

X-zero
So since they don't own the GFW name does that mean there will be new title made again. And Cornette said weeks ago he wasn't going to sign an exclusive deal with GFW or anyone because he too old for stuff like that. But if they want him to do two or three appearance he is ok with that. https://youtu.be/9dIcp8u0SJY?t=8m49s

Or 3, the Insane Clown Posse buy it out and make everyone on the roster wear clown makeup. Clowns are hot right now and the ratings would probably quadruple over what they are now to a .8 maybe. classiq.
Impact president Ed Nordholm was recently interviewed by OttawaCitizen.com to promote Bound for Glory which will take place on November 5th from the Aberdeen Pavilion in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. During the interview he was asked why the company hasn't decided to run the event in a much larger arena than the Aberdeen Pavillion: Were legacy people, Nordholm said. Its a great facility with a rich history. An arena would be a big place for us to sell. We want to have a venue with an intimacy with the crowd. The crowd will pack it rather than be spread out through it. Its just the right size, itll ensure we can get people in the stands where theyll have a connection with our wrestlers and vice-versa. Nordholm also revealed Impact has a new tagline: Our tagline is Less Talk More Action. Its a style of wrestling that focuses more on the action in the ring than in the storylines. Not to take anything away from WWE, that is their product and they obviously do a spectacular job. But we have a very good show with talented wrestlers, athletic wrestlers. https://www.wrestlingnewssource.com/news/48339/Impact-Wrestling-President-Reveals-Companys-New-Tagline/

classiq.
According to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the announcement of a merger between Impact and GFW was made, the deal had not actually been completed. With Jeff Jarrett out of the picture, taking a leave from the company and the fact that he still owns the GFW name, Anthem has dropped the GFW branding in all of the promotion for Bound for Glory. There was a sentiment against another rebranding and to continue using the GFW name, but that doesnt look to be the case any longer. The WON adds that publicly, the company line is that Jarrett will be returning, but privately nobody is certain of anything. At this time, the company hasnt commented one way or the other on whether they will keep the GFW name. The feeling is that the company wants to rebrand itself and get away from the negativity associated with the TNA name, and that as long as they are in Orlando, the feeling is that they are TNA wrestling. The long-term goal is to make Impact a Canadian company, due to some economic advantages, and also because Anthem is based in Toronto. This is why the Bound for Glory PPV and post PPV TV tapings were moved to Canada. https://411mania.com/wrestling/details-anthem-moving-away-gfw-possible-rebranding/
