Some Lesser-Known Grapples and Strikes

Most of these revolve around using weapons in one fashion or another.

Chair Senton: rapidly press Square twice when standing next to a supine opponent (on their back), and holding a chair. You must be standing next to their side or head.

Con-Chair-to: you must grab two chairs before performing this move (natch). Place the first chair under the opponent's face by pressing Circle. Grab the second chair and stand next to the opponent's head and press Square. BANG!

Chair Lionsault: grab a chair and stand next to a supine opponent and press any direction on the D-pad and Circle. Your character must weigh less than 240 pounds to perform this, plus have one of the Dives abilities, and have a Speed rating of 85 or higher.

Chair Battering Ram: Wedge the chair in one of the turnbuckles by pressing Cross. Then, Irish whip or Hammer Throw an opponent into the chair and enjoy the cutscene of the opponent slamming headfirst into the chair! Ow.

Chair Guillotine: Stand next to a supine opponent's head while holding a chair and press Circle. This will wedge the opponent's head in the chair. Then press square to stomp on the makeshift "guillotine".

Chair Leg-breaker: Do like with the Chair Guillotine, but on an opponent's leg.

Van Daminator: Grab a chair and walk up to an opponent and press left or right and Circle. Your character must have a speed rating of 85 or higher. Otherwise, they will do the following.

Chair Punch: Do like with the Van Daminator, but your character must have a speed rating of less than 85.

Chair DDT: Grab a chair and press up or down and Circle while standing next to an opponent. This has a good chance of making them bleed.

Sledgehammer Choke: Grab a sledgehammer and press any direction on the D-pad and Circle when next to a standing opponent.

In table matches, you can easily place your opponent in a stunned state at the side of the table or lying on the table. To do so, press left or right and Circle (for the tableside stun) or up or down and Circle (for the on-the-table stun) while holding a table.

To ignite the table (only available in Flaming-table, TLC or Extreme Rules matches), first gain a signature/finisher state and press Triangle next to the table. It must be standing up first. To stand up a table/grab a standing/leaning table, press Cross.

Grab the ring bell or ring steps by walking up to one of them and press Cross. This also works for title belts (the belt replaces the ring bell in title matches). It helps to weigh at least 240 pounds as light-heavyweights will struggle a bit when lifting the ring steps (they weigh 240 pounds), and cruiserweights will need to make a practice lift before actually lifting them.

Ring Bell Head Shot: Simply walk up to a standing opponent while holding the ring bell, and press any direction on the D-pad and press Circle.

Ring Step Head Shot: Walk up to a standing opponent while holding the ring steps, and press any direction on the D-pad and press Circle.

Remove the turnbuckles by walking up to one of them and press Cross. This takes about five seconds to do, and if the animation is interrupted too early, the removal will be canceled. Happily, the referee doesn't mind if you remove the turnbuckles in SvR 11 (they tried to stop you in earlier games).

Perform a "Ladder Helicopter" move by first grabbing a ladder, then moving the analog nub. Your character will place the ladder around their neck, and then begin spinning around as you rotate the analog nub. To cancel the Helicopter, just press Cross.

You can cancel pulling the briefcase/title belt during ladder matches (if someone is climbing the other side of the ladder) by pressing Cross.

Corner moves can be performed on the ladder or a table by first Hammer Throwing your opponent into the ladder/table, then grapple your stunned opponent.

You can wedge a leaning ladder in the corner by pressing Cross again after leaning it.

You can perform a variety of environmental grapples involving the security barrier, ringpost, and even the ring ropes (that last one's probably the most painful...and will have your opponent singing two octaves higher!). You can also Irish-whip your opponent into the ring steps, if they haven't been removed yet.

Perhaps the most devastating non-finisher moves available in the game can only be accessed in backstage matches, and include running your opponent over with a supply cart, slamming them into weight-training equipment, and throwing them into the windshield of a car. Needless to say, Universe mode never sets up backstage matches by default. However, they are available for use as custom matches, if you wish. Give 'em a whirl...and watch your opponent scream like a schoolgirl! (Sorry about that last crappy rhyme... :P)
