CAWs.ws: Would it be that difficult for 2k to implement a few Manager based selections?

Recommended Posts

If 2k's WWE2k14 proved anything it's, we need the ability to separate Managers from Superstars/Divas in WWE Universe Mode. We should already have a Manager W/ Superstar Option in Create-A-Entrance. Would it be that difficult to Implement? 2k better live up to the hype of 2k15 being their official full WWE Video Game or they will get the THQ Reputation rather quickly around here.

Its not their first 'full official' wwe game. They are still using Yukes. They said when they got the license it would take 2-3 years to build an engine properly in house.

I meant as in 2k's Official Video Game with Full Creative Control, 2k's WWE2k14 was mostly a THQ finished game with 2k polish. I've never gotten how the engine is the problem, look at 2k's WWE2k14 besides a few minor Audio Glitches and a major WWE Universe Glitch; the gameplay was fine and could easily be improved. I don't see what an entirely new engine could do for the game.

hardware wise, that's something that probably wouldn't be TOO difficult (though you can bet your ass it'll be buggy). The question is, would 2K learn from 2HQs mistakes and ensure yukes doesn't get lazy about it.

Except didn't 2k representatives state that Yukes become like they where because THQ didn't have the money nor Time to inform them on what exactly they had to do so they where going on a 'I Guess' type of strategy for the past couple years which turned into a ' :censored: it' they don't care so why should we.

More than likely thats a bit of covering up the laziness that had stagnated between both THQ and Yukes. After all, the problem actually began before THQs larger money problems.

i do think the manager stuff needs a FULL overhaul. the way they did it in LOW was great with the distraction aspect. that needs to be re-introduced. and the 'managers' should actually be treated the same way they did the alt. attires this year. go in to a superstar's bio page and select the manager you want for them. that way that superstar will automatically come out with that manager.

Who remembers Smackdown 2's manager system? I've been wanting them to bring that back and improve it for years. It was like Create a Team, except you'd chose a superstar and their manager. Then when you got to exhibition or season the manager would follow you to every match during your entrance. I can't recall correctly right now but I believe they would then disappear so obvious improvements would be to keep the manager at ringside, then either select a tag team entrance or keep the generic style 'manager follows superstars default entrance' types of entrances. Then being able to set a tag team manager and a 'manager finisher' (like a distraction of opponent allowing you to hit a finisher or roll up, or motivation, giving you an instant finisher) and that would be a perfect manager system imo.

I agree they need to do something do with managers. It's ignoring having to edit every match for a superstar just to add his manager in it, and then they barely do anything during the match at all so really it's pointless...

Some managers have special abilities like in LOWM. I would agreed with you on that would be the perfect manager system.

Does nobody remember that Yukes is the reason we found out about THQ's Smackdown Vs Raw 2011. How Yukes tried to save the series by locking maneuvers THQ wanted removed completely for 'Not Looking Up To Par'. Let's not forget a THQ Guy had full control over what Yukes Did or Didn't do.

That doesn't change the fact that Yukes got really bloody lazy over the years, just as THQ did. It's still THQs fault ultimately though. You can't have a good worker if the supervisor is ass at their job.

I have been screaming this for years now. Managers should mean something. It should be an advantage to have a manager. The way it was in LOW was perfect. I had high hopes that with all the managers in this year Heenan, Fuji, Elizabeth, Perfect, DiBiasi, etc. that those mechanics would be making an appearance in 2k14. If they didn't do it for this year with all those managers, they are never going to do it. Outside of that, I would be satisfied with simply adding a 6th slot to stables with it designated the manager slot (like they have the two tag slots now) and if you put a superstar or manager in that slot, they will everyone else in the stable will always have that manager come out with them to ringside. The way it was in the old games is perfect I think. I don't want it to screw up my entrances. Just have the manager come out first, stand to the side of the stage clapping as the superstar does his entrance and have the manager follow him down the ramp.

Every thing will be held on online storage sites as save back ups, THQ/2k can easily access the game at any stage of its build and offer feedback. The internet, its a wonderful thing

The what would you USE FOR LEGENDS OF WRESTLING? If you don't like that game. That's fine but LOW BEFORE LOWM.

Most people using this format so no one be confuse. Like I think you are confused or trying to confuse me. You need to stop trolling.
