Everything involving Scooter or Rammstein.

And that's even with nobody actually liking Scooter's music or me disliking Rammstein's.

Their life performances are just that. Performances. Rammstein playing inside a cage of fire, DJ Baxter (Scooter) being so close to his audience...never ever have I been more fascinated with a live performance. (I went to several of their respective concerts just because people told me about their performances).

Poor anyone having to follow JB. Only ones who could at least come close to it would have to be the MC5. At least they give it a fair crack.

French TV bit on the Pink Fairies with some live footage from 1973 in London

Not to discount what he did with his first cousin once removed, and this is probably pretty unpopular but JLL didn't deserve the backlash/blacklisting he got. Private lifes should be private. I feel that the uproar was more about the pure energy he bought to the stage and, especially at that time, the real fear that rock and roll could lead the kids down a path of rock and roll debauchery.

I agree. My grandfather actually kinda holds it against me a little bit that I am a big fan. It is kinda funny.

On the topic of JLL. I love the natural chemistry him and Tom had when he performed on Tom's show.

Yeah, I've had that before with JLL from my parents. I'm not totally against that reaction though because it shows that he had something real, something dangerous, that the older generation just didn't get.

Don't know how big he is outside of Australia but JOK often had the same reactions. He's often credited as the 'King of Australian Rock'n'roll' and I believe it.
