After The Rain
Credit: SEScoops -As somewhat of another cost-cutting measure, TNA has ending their working relationship with Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW) as of this week. The belief is all TNA contracted talent will be asked to relocate to Orlando, however that is not official at this point. -As previously reported, TNA has confirmed that their November 21st Impact Wrestling television taping will be held at Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida. Apparently, the Impact Zone will now be held at Soundstage 19, instead of Soundstage 21, as it used to be. Soundstage 19 is reported to be 16,500 square feet, with dressing rooms that contain showers, hair and make-up rooms, wardrobe and talent holding with kitchen support and the capability of fiber and satelitte transmissions. Poe Øhlin
So to save money, they ditched their main way for getting new younger talent, and helping talent they have get better? I see how it helps them financially, but it really hurts them in the wrestler department. I'm curious to know if they'll think up a new stage design. 1okr
They don't really use their new talent in a way to elevate them. It's probably best.
After The Rain
Gut Check was a complete disaster and could've been handled much better, 8 out of 12 received contracts (counting Joey Ryan). Currently 3 remain on the TNA roster, Jay Bradley, Lei'D Tapa & Sam Shaw (who has said recently he hasn't heard from TNA in a while, last match was in May). In the end it proved to be a colossal waste of time to the company and to us, due to the majority being released. OVW were basically stuck to take these guys in since TNA had absolutely no plans for them, while none of the seasoned OVW wrestlers were ever called up to be on Impact. TNA obviously didn't take a developmental system seriously and after this mess, why would anyone ever trust them again? They can only hope for a possible talent exchange with Wrestle-1, but how long until they burn that bridge too?

That's my slightly cynical sarcastic funny idea/thought anyways.

Not sure if you included him, but Bad Bones won the online Gut Check and nothing ever came of that. ---- Losing OVW is really not big loss. Like said, TNA basically used OVW as a place to send guys they had nothing for. In the entire relationship I don't think there was anyone from OVW who was called up. Is the new Impact Zone bigger than the old one?
Paulie Walnuts
They ended their relationship with their main source of developing talent. This company will be gone soon. Thats funny because the only talent they have that came from OVW are Robbie E, Jessie Godderz, and Lei'D Tapa. Surely nothing to write home about. Royal Nakamura
I knew it was because of money. Ever since I saw those empty-arena PPV photos for their flagship event, I had a strong feeling they'd do something about it.
Ǝpitome
I don't think it's a good idea to get rid of OVW, but maybe WWE can pick the up and use their talent.

They're alright, but the fact they still cut ties with them leaves me to believe they have no plans of any future.

After The Rain
they still have team 3d school Only graduate I ever recall TNA signing was Jesse Neal. WWE & TNA both give Team 3D Academy try-outs, so there not directly tied to just one company.
Lunchbox
Why would you need a developement when you can easily pluck talent from the indies? Its not like there is a huge learning curve like there is when you go from the indies to WWE.
Scorpion™
In twenty years from now my children (who I will force feed wrestling down their throats, from age 2) will ask about TNA, and I'll just laugh.
