So... I was trying to do Prision Break finale on hard again and got all these people who were bad. It's such an easy mission, but people kept screwing it up. And I was twitching it all. It was so painful.

Yeah this is a big thing, I never done those with randoms. Had a group of friends I done them with.

Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Makers Facing Lawsuit For Infringing On TV Psychic Miss Cleo

A lawsuit has been filed against Take-Two Interactive Software and Rockstar Games by a group of professional psychics who say that the character of Auntie Poulet in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City resembles the late TV psychic Miss Cleo just a bit too much.

The lawsuit in question was filed on Wednesday against the owners of the Grand Theft Auto series by the Psychic Readers Network, an organization that owns the copyright for Miss Cleo’s TV persona as a psychic by the real name of Youree Harris. According to the lawsuit, the PRN claims that they’ve spent quite a bit of money over the past few years building up the character of Miss Cleo before the famous TV psychic passed away in 2016 at the age of 53. Saying that they’ve spent over $100 million to promote Miss Cleo, the organization claims that the Grand Theft Auto series has used the character to earn themselves over $500 million since Vice City came out.

And the date that Vice City came out is certainly one of the more interesting parts of the lawsuit. If you think that the game seems somewhat dated from the video shown above that shows off the character that’s the center of the lawsuit, you’d be correct. The game came out in 2002, so gamers and professional alike have had more than enough time to recognize the similarities between the two characters. Why the lawsuit is being filed now of all times is certainly a curious part of the case, but the PRN claims that Rockstar Games has continued to make money off of the game and subsequently the character throughout the years.

Those who remember the character from the game will recall that Miss Cleo actually voiced the character of Auntie Poulet in Vice City, and many players who experience the game and the character felt that she did an excellent job doing so. While the voices shared between the character and the voice actor are undeniably the same, issues that the lawsuit revolves around stem from the further similarities that the two have regarding their appearance. The PRN claims that the animations and overall appearance of Auntie Poulet bear too much resemblance to the woman who voiced the character.

No specified monetary amount being asked for by the PRN has been announced, but according to a response issued to TMZ, the Grand Theft Auto creators have said “These claims are entirely meritless and completely ridiculous. We will vigorously defend ourselves with regard to this matter.”

Waiting 15 years to sue. Lol.

And even if they did rip it off, to say they made 500 million because of this one character is lol even more. It wouldn't even be 50 dollars

Wow! Well they literally have nothing to go on if the woman herself agreed to voice the character.

I think we won't hear about the next GTA until least 20 20 hopefullyit in Miami and Everglade region

There's really no reason for it to be that far off.

For reference...GTA III to Vice City was merely a year. Vice City to San Andreas was 2 years. San Andreas to IV was 4 years, and IV to V was 5 years. So, the gap has been increasing each time. BUT, given that the legwork was already done for GTA V on XB1 and PS4, it shouldn't take 5 years again...so it would be strange for the gap between V and VI to be much longer than 5 years.

And 5 years from the 2013 release of V would be 2018. Even in giving that an extra year...it would be 2019 at the latest, and news would trickle out before then. 2020 sounds too far off. They shouldn't be creating an entirely new engine for VI. It seems like a stretch for it to take that long.

Also, if memory serves me, they've been revealing GTA and dropping a a pretty reasonable release date simultaneously. So, it shouldn't be a slow reveal. It should be like "This is GTA VI...it's coming in the fall."

Rockstar seems to be content with all the money they're racking in with GTA online though so that might be why the n next game may take longer than it's have before.

I'd be all for Liberty City being added to GTA Online along with a story centered around Packie finishing up what he came to San Andreas for before returning back for more adventure, but sadly it doesn't look like Rockstar has any interest in doing any DLC for off line mode.

Real shame because there's a few characters I'd have liked to seen get a spin off story in V's universe. Paige Harris to name another.

Out of curiousity, how well does GTAIV play on Xbox One? I noticed it's backward compatible. I always remember that game making my 360 sound like it was about to burst into flames. Does it perform better on the One? Kinda tempted to give it a go...

i got it on the XB1 and never had issues.

so i completed the main story this past weekend and was wondering if there was dlc for story mode or is the dlc for online multiplayer only?

The GTAIV dlc was single player DLC...and pretty good stuff, too. Lost and Damned was okay. Ballad of Gay Tony was much better.
