Will Hogan & Bischoff Be Held Accountable for Impact's Road Failure?

PWInsider.com is reporting sources inside TNA are questioning whether or not Eric Bischoff and Hulk Hogan will survive in TNA if reports of the company taking Impact Wrestling off the road are in fact true.

Bischoff and Hogan lobbied to air Impact on Monday nights, which failed, then they lobbied to spend more money to make more money, which failed, and finally they were behind taking Impact out of Orlando and that too has failed.

The report notes that both Bischoff and Hogan's contracts are under evaluation just like everyone else in TNA, so it remains to be seen whether or not the two will be released if Impact is pulled from the road. Additionally, Hogan's current contract with TNA is set to expire in a few weeks, which could make things interesting.

"We have to confirm the release of Austin Aries, Christopher Daniels, Frankie Kazarian, Bobby Roode, James Storm, Bully Ray, Magnus, Samoa Joe, AJ Styles, Mr Anderson, Jospeh Park, Chris Sabin and Hernandez."

"On another note it is great to say that Hulk Hogan, Eric Bischoff and Sting just signed new 20-year contracts with the company."

I consider Eric Bischoff very overrated when it comes to pitching successful ideas. To this day his most successful "idea" was something he stole from Japan, and that was over 15 years ago, I'll give him credit for the cruiserweight division and spending lots of Ted Turner's money too. Once again TNA is oblivious to all of this until now and there in a worse position now then 3 years ago and to think they *censored*ing passed up Paul Heyman and fired Jim Cornette & Dutch Mantel for these two clowns.

Either Dixie Carter is the most gullible promoter in wrestling history or Hulk Hogan, Eric Bischoff & Vince Russo are the smartest men in wrestling history. Take your pick.

The report might be a lot of hot air, but anything regarding Hogan and Bischoff's exit is always nice to hear.

I think TNA going on the road for the IMPACT episodes was a good idea, as well. It gets some publicity, even though the crowd numbers weren't all that great as far as ticket sales, possibly.

Actually things changed drastically when Hulk Hogan & Eric Bischoff were hired. The six-sided ring was scrapped, they brought in Jeff Hardy, Shannon Moore, Scott Hall, Sean Waltman, Bubba The Love Sponge, Orlando Jordan, Sean Morley, Rosie Lottalove, The Nasty Boyz, Ric Flair, etc. Most of those wrestlers appeared on the Hulkamania Australia tour and out of all of those names only Jeff Hardy is on the TNA Roster currently.

Most of the guys who came in got pushes only to be gone within a few weeks or a few months, Sean Morley (Val Venis) comes to mind who had victories over Daniels at a PPV and Jeff Jarrett and was gone within 3 months. The Nasty Boyz feuded with Team 3D and had a victory over them, they were fired within 3 months after embarrassing themselves in front of Spike executives. Scott Hall become TNA Tag Team Champions with Kevin Nash within a few months, he was in no physical shape or health to compete and was fired a month later due to being arrested. Bubba The Love Sponge (Hogan's best friend) had an incident with Awesome Kong that led to her requesting her release.

Hulk Hogan (57 years old at the time) & Eric Bischoff were involved in the main storyline for TNA as "They" (a.k.a. Immortal). They feuded with a stable called Fortune led by a 61 year old Ric Flair. Immortal disbanded in 2011 when Hogan faced a 51 year old man named Sting. In 2012 he became Garrett Bischoff's (the son of Eric Bischoff) "trainer" and they feuded with Eric Bischoff. In 2013, now 60 years old, Hogan continues to be in the center of TNA's main storylines, feuding with Aces & Eights.

So what did we learn? They got rid of TNA's only real identity by getting rid of the six-sided ring and the X-Division, Hogan employed many of his has-been friends from the Hulkamania tour and pushed most of them to only have them leave, Bischoff got his son employed with a big push for it to backfire , Hogan got his daughter employed and was a disaster, Hogan has essentially been a part of the main feuds and storylines for the past 3 years. So with all of that out of the way, who here can say that he helped TNA in any way?

but it not like people we watching anyways and maybe they got rid of the six sides cuz wrestlers complain atleast when Hogan and eric came in they took risk when the prob wouldn't have if they didnt

What risks are you referring too? Removing the six-sided ring wasn't a risk. They took risks that were idiotic and were destined to fail, like moving to Monday to "compete" with RAW when they don't even draw half of what RAW gets every week. Hiring Hulk Hogan's friends was also an idiotic risk, a 51 out of shape and constantly wasted Scott Hall, 46 year old(s) Brian Knobs & Jerry Sags who are considered as too stiff in the ring and are unprofessional, 61 year old Ric Flair who has constant legal and money issues, 44 year old Bubba The Love Sponge who had no prior wrestling experience before TNA. Crazy how all 5 men I mentioned were fired by TNA due to being arrested or acting unprofessional. What about his idea to have fans record wrestlers while they're out in public, eating, shopping or going through the airport?

I'm not saying it's entirely Hulk Hogan's fault, it's TNA managements fault as well. They agreed to sign all of his buddies, they agreed to let him deal with outside licenses, they agreed to sign his daughter, etc. They need to take risks, but there's a difference between a risk and knowing the outcome before taking it. I will agree that taking Impact on the road had to be done, obviously they didn't foresee how much it would cost to run shows which is why they will probably find a permanent home again in one city.
