[TUTORIAL] How to unlock the WWE '13 save (PS3)

Recommended Posts

I will give you a brief tutorial on unlocking your WWE '13 PS3 save. (Now reformated for easier viewing. :D)

1. Dowload this: http://www.multiupload.nl/SZO7S4KUP6 and extract it to your desktop, you will then get a folder on your desktop called "Save Game Tools".

2. Create a new user on your PS3, create a save with a game (I used Assassin's Creed 3) and copy the save to a USB stick/HDD. Don't use your main account or your main WWE save will be overwritten.

3. Connect your USB stick/HDD to your PC and search for "PS3/SAVEDATA" look for the folder of the game you copied. Search in the folder for the file "PARAM.SFO". Copy & paste this file into the "Save Game Tools" folder on your desktop and rename it to "template.sfo" (If it asks you if you want to replace say yes)

4. Open the "ResignEU.bat" if you have the EU version of the game or "ResignUS.bat" if you have a US copy.

5. Copy the "BLUS31015_SAVE" (for US) or "BLES01699_SAVE" (for EU) to your USB stick/hdd in the folder "PS3/SAVEDATA".

6. Start your PS3 with your USB/HDD connected and restore the savegame (on the new account you made!!)

7. Load WWE13, it will say the save is corrupted and won't load it. DO NOT try to load it. Go to options menu and save the game, then quit the game and try to copy the save from your PS3 HDD to your USB. If you are able to copy you did everything correctly!

8. HAPPY MODDING ON PS3!! :D (credit to kim666 where credit is due)

When you take PARAM.SFO from your save and rename it template.sfo and resign it, it becomes unlocked. It looks like it's a complicated process, but in reality it isn't. This way, you can upload textures and whatever all on your own.

You take the PARAM.SFO from another game (I used Assassin's Creed 3) then use the resigner & it tricks it to keeping it unlocked.

Yeah, seeing as you're linking to his file that resigns his save so that you can use it. Yeah credit is due.

If somebody who has WWE 12 and a jailbroken PS3 could unlock their save and share the files, we could pull it off. But we have yet to find someone to do that.

I thought HEELDan said this technique doesn't require jailbreak?

Please give credit where credit is due whether he made the program or even if it's just a tutorial. Really appreciate this though!

Correct. This doesn't require a jailbreak. What does require a jailbreak however is accessing anything within the game data. So unless you have a jailbreak you can't texture hack the real superstars or replace superstars etc.

Will this hack my PS3?

Obvs not......... all you are doing is unlocking the save.

Please give credit where credit is due whether he made the program or even if it's just a tutorial. Really appreciate this though!

You're welcome!

Yeah I want to know if this works for WWE '12 too, I refuse to buy '13.

Honestly I haven't tried with '12... sorry. Plus I have '12 on 360. You are welcome to try & post your findings however.

So, with this tutorial, what can be done through unlocking the save without a jailbreak?

Thanks for this.

Quick question:

By doing this, will I be able to re-assign Divas as male superstars, allowing for Divas to compete against the male Superstars?

I don't think so.

So, with this tutorial, what can be done through unlocking the save without a jailbreak?

Backup your save to a USB. Saves can be shared amongst PS3 users. Arena's can be shared. Import textures into Painttool to use in arenas/on CAWs.

Oh, we can texture? Thank god for that, this was slowly beginning to look useless to me.

Thanks for the tutorial Dan, might test it to see if it works on '12.
