The last three bond films are overrated crap and Daniel Craig is a tiresome guffer loved by middle aged housewives the world over.

Agreed! And I don't even know what a guffer is?????

But at this rate, if John Cena could pull off an English accent, he has as good a chance as anyone of becoming the next James Bond. Daniel Craig is just hollow and lacks everything that made the old Bonds so cool.

That said, I don't have a problem with Craig in other movies. He just seemed like a bad choice for Bond... too much brawn, not enough brains or class.

Also, I think it's been mentioned before but Topher Grace was a disgraceful Venom in that joke of a movie that I think featured Spiderman at some point. Eddie Brock required an actor with more brawn and not a lot of brains. These are pretty basic attributes, but they count because first impressions are big.

You didn't like Casino Royale or Skyfall? Not to mention he's given us the most physical performances out of any Bond.

Most physical performance? Yeah you might be right, but that doesn't make a good movie does it? Most Jason Statham movies contain a lot of physical performances, but are they generally considered good movies? Some, but not many. Craig isn't a bad Bond, but he is nowhere near the best, IMO that will always be Mr. Connery.

Nah, both blowed.

And considering what I thought of as respectable critics in rotten tomatoes, they collectively gave CR 90% and Fight Club only generated 80%, dafuq.

The acclaim they received was based on production value, alone.

Both movies were pretty bad.

Fight Club wasn't that great. Don't try convincing me it did I had to watch it countless times and analyse it countless times for film studies.

Both Casino Royal and Skyfall deserved there score. It doesn't surprise me you didn't like it though. Seems like American's tend to not like the Bond movies as much.

LMFAO. But anyway, I don't mind disagreeing on this.

I'm 'Merican, and I love Bond movies. Hell I have a collection of about 15 of them. Casino Royal and Skyfall will not be part of that collection though... ever. I will admit that Skyfall was leaps and bounds better than Casino Royal and that awful, dreadful, ghastly (what other terms can I use from Jolly Olde England?), bloody sequel it spawned.

Skyfall had more going for it thatn CR, but oh that ending of Skyfall and the part where they introduce all those people that don't fit their characters, that sucked.

In fact, DARE I say that... and this is tough for me to say... but that Americanization is what has ruined the James Bond franchise... by becoming more of an action franchise.

I didn't like SF, but still agree it was 10 times better than Quantum of Solace (that was the one I couldn't remember the name of)

Also, Chips, I can't understand how you pass off Fight Club as being nothing special. Even if you think Fight Club was overrated, you still have to admit that you can understand why people would really love it. It is pretty damn good. I know it gets a lot of attention for being pretty damn good, especially on the internets, and I have a hunch that that is what really bothers you about fight club more so than the film itself... because how could anyone think the film itself isn't at least pretty good if not pretty damn good?!

It's not all that unpopular. Best thing about is was Ed Norton's performance. The twist wasn't that great either.

The plot, execution, Pitt's performance, Carter's performance, I can go on and on. It was a great movie, one of the best. There are some things you can debate and argue, but not movies like Fight Club. I think you are just saying it's not that great to go against the grain.

There's no question I think it's a good movie. It's just I don't think it's a great movie. On IMDB where I've rated over 600 movies I think I gave it a 7. I thought Fincher's Girl with a Dragon Tattoo and Social Network were definitely better movies from him. I also thought the twist was the easy way out and I predicted it before I finished watching the film.

You guys couldn't be more wrong. The dude has given us 2 of the best movies to date.

James Bond? They are nowhere near the best movies, they're good but not the best. Curiously, how did you find the old Bond movies? Didja like 'em or were you bored?

I like Back to the Future and find them both fun to watch yet boring at times too. I don't see what's wrong if people find them boring. I love Godfather, but I find it a boring movie at times, even though it's to me one of the most brilliant filmmaking ever. The first one that, is. Second one is definitely pretty engaging, probably because of Vito's history and the increased ruthlessness.
