I find cryptids fun to read about, but thats about it. Pretty much no chance for many of the big ones like Loch ness, Bigfoot, Jersey Devil, Chubacabra, etc. I went through a phase when I was younger where I believed pretty much every cryptid. PM me in case u want a forum that I think u might be interested if u want to read more about cryptids and that stuff.

They're fun read about, but I don't really believe in them. The only one that is high possible is Big Foot. It is possible for some humans to grow large ammounts of hair all over their body, and grow to very tall heights.

Yeah, but why the hell would this "human" hide away in the forest/wherever?

Big Foot is one that I definitely don't believe exists, and like 99% of these are bullshit. I'd say 100%, but you never know.

Ok, bigger post time.

Cryptids have kept my interest since I was in middle school and I read about them a lot. Hell, in my creative writing class, I wrote a 9 page nonfiction essay discussing the Loch Ness Monster(pretty much writing about why it might be real, why not and what it might be)

I think many cryptids are much less spectacular in reality than what our imaginations first try to make us believe. Take the Loch Ness Monster for example. It'd be amazing if it was a plesiosaur, but the chances of it actually being one are incredibly slim. I personally think it might simply be an overgrown eel(whether it was simply a large speciment or a subspecies that grows to much larger sizes, either works).

One of my favorite cryptids has to be Mokele Mbembe. It's just very interesting. It's a supposed sauropod dinosaur living in the Congo. There's no animal that really fits it's physical description at all that also occupies the same habitat(the closest would be a giraffe, which doesn't live in swamps) and any natives shown pictures of sauropods are said to go running in fear, so what this creature might really be is a complete mystery. I remember on the show MonsterQuest(one of their most interesting episodes IMO), back in like 2008, they tried to track it, and found some very big snake like creature at the bottom of the river, but couldn't follow it past a certain border, so it alluded everyone again.

So in regards to the overall existence of cryptids, I think most exist, but not in the forms we picture them. New subspecies of animals we already know or overgrown speciments, but that's about it for most of them. But I do hope that at least a few of them are really as fantastic as we picture them. It'd be pretty boss having living dinosaurs in Africa after all.
