Got the game this morning, been hibernating! :)

Alright, so i got the game this morning (360) and ive been playing since about 2pm. I have, for like the last 3 years downloaded the unlock all addition, so it feels weird playing while so much of the game is still locked lol, but since i promised someone i would play the AE mode and unlock everything the poor man's way (plus i have no choice since unlock all is not on XBL live yet), I am determined to do it! Almost everything has been covered so theres not much i can tell you that you don't already know. Believe it or not i haven't played much (as far as matches go), I've been editing movesets, and messing around with universe and create special move.

Universe: Match ups on the card that do not have the "Interference" option at the bottom, it means that the match is part of a feud. If you change the match, when you go to the match creator it says "If you change the setting in the match creator, it will cancel the story that this match is apart of"

Create a Special Move: Although its pretty much the same as last year's, there are noticable changes. Like some of the moves have been fixed (like the ones that were awkward looking), alot of moves have been added (new finishers and holds), you won't notice them till you actually set up certain positions. I like the new taunts and set ups.

Movesets: Weight detection is a great addition this year, its almost like in every grapple position. Like for example, for running grapples you get to choose 2 like last year but you also get another move for "weight detection", not only is this great so you don't pick up big guys but in a way it gives your move-set more diversity. Movesets need a lot of work just like every other year. Like for instance, in mysterio's moveset they have his new diving body splash as a signature, but under finisher he has the frog splash?? and in Orton's moveset he didnt even have his "Orton Stomps" as a ground grapple (smh). But im used to editing them so its nothing for me, in fact im so used to doing it, if i didn't have to it wouldn't feel right lol.

Getting ready to start the AE Mode soon after i edit a few more movesets... the crazy thing is im only about 40% done with the movesets, and thats mainly because theres soooo many slots this year, you'll spend almost 2x on each moveset this year because of the addition of limb targeting, weight detection, etc.. But im super excited to be playing right now and hopefully you guys feel the same when your hands on it!

Cool news about the interference being a sign of a story in Universe. When you were messing around in the movesets so much did you notice any new running strikes or grapples that haven't been showcased in the other move videos?

Not really, but i did notice quite a few new moves inside the chain grapple section, like alot of new snapmare/arm drag moves that look perfect. Thats one of the reasons im ready to run through AE Mode because half the roster is locked and i know alot of moves are locked with them as well. One thing i do want to mention though is that alot of older moves have been touched up, like I noticed moves like Samoan drops, back drops, and others that aren't marked "new" that have been reanimated.

I have a quick question that i keep hearing about.

What happens if you use a move meant for the front (IE a diving move to a standing opponent) on the back of an opponent. I keep hearing that the animation will now line up well with the move.

If he mentioned the store he got it from in here the mods might actually storm the place with torches and set the building on fire. Best he just keep it a secret.

Yea thats exactly the case, cant really tell how I got it (Lets just say I know people). Even though i got it early still feel late compared to all the other people who have had it for what seems like an eternity lol. (Still grateful though)

Can you confirm for us how hard the game is?

Sorry i havent played enough to really give a detailed answer (since most of my time has been going to move set editing), but i can tell you that the match experience thing (quick, normal, epic) definitely makes a difference. I played one match on normal and it felt like a match on legendary from WWE12. AI is so much smarter, they do things they didnt do in WWE 12. I have no complaints so far.

One thing I gotta ask u dude. Trouble In Paradise...is it possible to create it without an initial attack or grapple beforehand?

Well not exactly but they have some cool quick taunts that can set up TIP perfectly. Theres at least 8 new set ups in there.

Glad to hear they reanimated more than we've seen, a lot of them could use some freshening up.

Yea, like for example that diving shoulder from last year that had that little taunt before the guy jumped, that taunt is gone now. There's plenty of moves from last year that have been "touched up" I say touched up because some of em haven't necessarily been reanimated but they fixed little things that were wrong with them.

I can answer this one. I was watching a stream earlier and one player kept spamming the springboard dropkick as HBK and Kane sold it as a shot to the back and it connected beautifully. So diving attacks (strikes at least) seem to adjust to for front or back. Now, I don't know if things like splashes adjust into clotheslines and such when facing the wrong way but I know that diving strikes change.

I like that you at least have the option to interfere and discontinue a story.

Yea I agree, i havent really dug into Universe yet but if this means what i think it means then now we'll be able to start or cancel a feud before it even happens.

Congrats on getting the game!,In Create a Special Move can I now do a gut kick&a stunner or do I have to do a Stunner Clutch again??,IF we actually can then how does it look?

Nope i was hoping the same thing. But I still made a great looking Stunner, I used the beginning middle fingers taunt, then one of the clutches i thought wasn't that bad, then a stunner (where the opponent doesnt flop around). I could be wrong but I swear i think the stunner clutch animation is smoother this year.

Is their any new big boots that doesn't flip the opponent over?

Don't see any, but there could be one that comes with one of the many superstars that i haven't unlocked yet.

Yup ^ just what he said.

Just curious is unmasked Kane an alt attire?

No I highly doubt it.

Im still editing movesets guys! haha Im just one of those people who has to have accurate movesets. I just made a great signature for HBK, where he does the hurricana and starts punches the opponent after flipping onto him. I also had to make a 2nd Rock bottom for the Rock, I dont know i just don't really dig the slow one he has this year. But i left him with both Bottoms as finishers and put his People's elbow as a sig (this is for 98'-Rock). After going through these movesets I have to say im suprised at how many signature moves they have in for Foley this year, i mean he has his tree of woe running elbow, corner punches, rope clothesline and a few others. He has more signature moves than people like Austin has, which is weird. *shrugs*

3 Hours Later: Been playing the AE Mode. First off i gotta say, the graphics are on another level on this game, I mean seriously, you have to play this on an 1080 HD TV. The matches are so fluid. The only thing i just noticed though, I edited Mankind, HBK, Rock's and Austin's movesets before starting AE mode and for some reason the changes i made does not affect their moveset in AE mode. I was very disappointed when i realized this. But I quickly say *censored* it and kept playing. AE Mode has really blown me away really. Makes me feel like a kid again. The arenas and entrances you may have saw on the videos look 10x better when you play them on an HDTV, and the crowd is also on another level. Here and there you notice some things aren't exactly 100% accurate to how it happened in real life. But still close enough to give you that nostalgic feeling. Right now im half way through the DX mode. Seems like the farther I go, the harder the AI gets (on normal), I lose to dude love and had to restart the match. I was like WOW. Alright, back to the game. Just wanted to check in and give you guys an update. (If anyone cares lol)
