JGPLX. Posted September 4, 2012 Report Share Posted September 4, 2012 Just hear me out on this one mods. Whenever someone has an adult avatar or sig(like I did a few weeks ago), it gets removed. But when people say that it's not any worse than the pics you see in the 'Sexiest Women' thread, the mods reply saying that the difference is that is one topic that young kids should know not to go into, whereas you can't avoid an avatar or sig. That makes sense. But my question is, why can't we have more adult topics? I've seen many people make topics about porn and masturbation over the years, and every single one has been quickly closed. But why? If kids enter threads like 'Sexiest Women' at their own risk, then the same should apply for a topic that's called 'Masturbation' or 'What's your favourite type of porn?' As long as people don't post NSFW pics or vids, then it should be fine, right? I'm not saying I want to do it, but I was just wondering why some topics(like Sexiest Women) are allowed, even if they encourage adult-oriented photos/videos, whereas others that may not even need posted media get closed. Personally, merging all the existing sex topics into one big 18+ topic would be the way to go. So we don't allow topics because we know others will get carried away and we'll see the type of topic every other day. Which will end in really weird comments. Besides, wouldn't caws.ws be liable if there was a section for it and the above happened followed by a complaint? You could even say "have a password entry" but then underage kids would pretend to have been born earlier to get a password and gain access. It's a tough line to cross but considering there's talk about wrestling and videogames, both of which are suitable for all ages to discuss, I'd rather not see a section or even topics revolving around adult content. Well, first I read and re-read the OP to let it sink in. Then I used my brains based on the fact I staffed a forum with a much bigger membership than this one with people ranging fromt he ages of 13 to 65. Try again without flaming. Though we have a Sexiest Women topic, We try to keep it as PG-13 as possible, and it should go for all aspects. This site has more sections than those two and yes while the site is mainly about those topics there are other areas of the forum. It isn't JUST about that.
