Since everyone in the "Austin Toned Down" thread (WWE 13' section) are arguing about what era was better (Attitude Era or PG Era), I decided to make a thread for people to discuss what their favorite WWF/WWE Era really was. I'll go out on a limb and say that I'm not much of an era guy, so I cannot pinpoint which era I enjoyed the most. I have enjoyed wrestling since about 1997 and since then, even there has been a lot of hit-and-miss moments I've witnessed within each passing year, there are a plethora of feuds and matches that I've enjoyed growing up and all of them aren't in one particular era. So, what that said, I can't really choose a stand-out era when a moment or match from another era can be equally as good, if not great...

As far as in-depth storylines and feuds, the attitude era. As far as wrestling matches, the Ruthless Agression era, 2008, and 2011-current.

2009-mid 2011 was mostly awful. Every era has had great moments. I'm not sure I can honestly call one my favorite. WWE is WWE, hits and misses all the way through.

Ruthless Agression Era by far. You also forget to mention the likes Of AnGle Eddie And Lesnar. Heyman Stephanie and Bischoff running shit. Best era of all time. I loved Evolution Triple H was the top dog Orton and Cena where on the rise and the storylines it was great man.

Attitude era for me. Particularly 98/99/2000. Those 3 years were just incredible.

2003 was also a great year though with the new generation of wrestler beginning to break out, but from an entertainment point, it has to be the attitude era even with al the bad/tastless crazy shit that sometimes went on.

/\ I'm flabbergasted. One reason is that a lot of folk on here are a lot younger than me and said folk remember 'Ruthless Aggression' as their golden era. I'm not slagging off people's opinions, I respect them, but for me 'Ruthless Aggression' was dull and disjointed.

It had a lot of great matches though, that is why I liked it. The storylines weren't as great as the attitude era, but they were decent as well.

Respecting peoples opinions, I remember Ruthless Aggression for:

Too many matches with Vince McMahon going over (Zach Gowan, Stephanie, Undertaker) or looking overly powerful (Flair, Hogan). This made for eye-rolling viewing.

An overkill of segments and angles in which Vince got with beautiful women. Pathetic.

Kurt Angle, Brock Lesnar and Chris Benoit getting the big pushes *snore*

Crap gimmicks: Reverend D-Von, Billy and Chuck, The Hurricane etc

Genuine talents such as Raven, Taz(z), Justin Credible and Kanyon get jobbed to dust.

New exciting talent, for one reasonor another, flopping: Sean O'Haire, Nathan Jones, Mordecai.

Useless crap being pushed eg A-Train, The Bashams, Hardcore Holly.

Goldberg getting ruined.

The whole Hulk Hogan - Mr America nonsense.

Too much Triple H!!!!
