I was talking about "Rhodes".

No, WWE owns the name Cody Rhodes.

That's really...Stupid.

WWE didn't invent the Rhodes name, Dusty first began using the "Dusty Rhodes" name in Texas in World Class Championship Wrestling, or WCCW. And he'd established himself as a star way before entering the WWF. His name would've inevitably been synonymous with his children anyways, even if they weren't as good wrestlers as they are today, regardless of where they went. And I've never heard anything about Dusty himself relinquishing the rights to his name to the WWE and Vince McMahon.

Thats some bitch shit right there....Sorry for getting off topic, guys.

It's not the Rhodes name, it's 'Cody Rhodes'. Brandi can still be 'Brandi Rhodes' I think, in TNA they were even announced as 'Cody and Brandi Rhodes' if I'm not mistaken. But yeah, it sucks. Kinda like the Hardys situation with Impact going on.

^ If that's the case, then I definitely would have gone by something else if I were Cody. Maybe just his initials...CG Rhodes. Literally anything involving Rhodes would have been better than just 'Cody' by itself. But on the other hand, "Cody" tells the story of a dude who had his name stolen...so it does work better from that sense. I was under the impression that it was the Rhodes portion of the name that he couldn't use, though...(at all, I mean...not just in conjunction with the name Cody).
