Cody Rhodes was never going to play second to Kenny Omega.

Since joining the Bullet Club, Cody Rhodes and Kenny Omega have been at odds which will culminate in a match between Rhodes and Omega at Ring of Honor Supercard of Honor XII. At a press conference following his match at Strong Style Evolved, Rhodes said there has been something fundamentally wrong with his relationship with Omega.

"Very unlikely we will reconcile," said Rhodes. "Jim Ross actually said this earlier and he's probably the most astute when it comes to this topic: I should have never joined bullet club. Not that I'm not having the time of my life, not that I'm not having fun and I made friends but I was never going to be second to anybody ever. I was second to Randy Orton early on in my career and learned through that. You don't do it again. You don't go back to elementary school," he continued.

During the interview, Rhodes was asking himself questions, pulling others in front of the camera, and conferring with his wife on how he should word answers.

In addition, Cody released a statement on Monday morning, apologizing for shoving Nick Jackson. Cody grew frustrated with The Young Bucks after they lost in the Strong Style Evolved main event to Kota Ibushi and Kenny Omega. After going off on Matt Jackson, Cody shoved Nick to the mat, only to be interrupted by an intervening Kenny Omega.

Fightful Wrestling had live coverage and a recapping podcast for Strong Style Evolved, and the same will be available for Supercard of Honor XII where Rhodes and Omega have a match scheduled.

Former WWE Superstar turned WOH Superstar Tenille Dashwood (AKA Emma) recently defeated Brandi Rhodes to advance in the semi-finals of Ring of Honors ongoing WOH Tournament to crown the first-ever Women of Honor Champion. The inaugural Champion will be crowned next Saturday (April 7th) at Supercard of Honor XII.

To help hype the event, Dashwood recently spoke with WrestleZone Radio to discuss her Ring of Honor experience so far, the chance of joining the Bullet Club and the loyalty from her fans. Highlights of the interview below.

On her quarter-final match with Brandi Rhodes: Definitely impressed. You can see if you watch her matches back that she is improving every time she goes out there and I thought this was one of her best matches yet. Obviously, I got the upper hand and I think that comes down to experience. Brandi hasnt been in the ring for a whole lot of time and I have, it just comes down to that. Ive been friends with Brandi and Cody for a long time and them being a part of this show, Supercard of Honor, is a huge thing too.

On possibly joining Bullet Club: It all just depends on the situation. They would have to do some sweet talking and wed have to work some things out. You never know whats ahead. Im not saying yes or no, Im saying it depends.

On why she chose to join ROH following her WWE run: The timing actually worked out perfectly. Around the time I became a free agent is when Ring of Honor was introducing the womens tournament. As you know, I was the last entrant, number sixteen, to enter that. Ive never been a womens champion before so coming off of WWE I still had a lot to prove. I just love wrestling. I couldnt stay away from it. There are so many things in my career that I still want to do. It was just perfect timing and Ring of Honor is obviously one of the best companies in the world. It was a great place and a great time to become part of the womens tournament and showcase what we have to offer.

On what lessons she learned helping to start the WWE womens revolution: I am taking from what I have done in the past with the WWE womens revolution and bringing it all over the world with me now. At Ring of Honor I think something that Ive learned, and am taking with me, is that I am just going to be me. I am in control and I am going to do things my way. I think everyone who knows me knows that I love wrestling, that shows when I wrestle. I am able to go out there, perform and do what I love. I want to go out and have competitive matches for longer amounts of time. I just really want to wrestle again. Its very exciting to be able to do that.

On her fans being so loyal to her: I really do have loyal fans, dont I? I have to say thanks for that. They have stuck with me through all of this and I feel like I have the same following that I had before, they are just following me in what Im doing now as opposed to before. Its really cool that I have those loyal fans.

Dashwood also discusses her upcoming match with Sumie Sakai possibility of re-uniting with Santino Marella on the independents

I thought it was quite a nice homage to her given she was on the 4th ever ROH show 16 years ago. I'd rather that than Kelly Klein being the "Brock Lesnar" of women in ROH.

Honestly though I don't think, sadly WOH, or womens wrestling in ROH will ever take off they still seem to think of it as an afterthought, midcard filler.

Theres other indie promotions that are way ahead in booking women as prominent and legimate contenders to the men on a card than ROH.

This is coming from me and I used to quite like them using Lacey, Mschif, Daizee Haze and Sarah Del Ray back in the day. Awesome Kong was originally meant to be in AOTF in the place Necro Butcher took....I don't know where I'm going with this, other than ROH never seem to want to quite pull the trigger on the womens side, the only women on the roster who appears to be booked in a "meaningful" storyline is Brandi Rhodes (by proxy of Cody)

Over the weekend there was a bit of fight before ROH Steel City Excellence in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Word got out thanks to Cody Rhodes and other talent commenting about it on social media, some of which are now deleted.

According to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, an extra was in the locker room and sat down in Christopher Daniels' chair. After being asked to move, he talked back and got into an argument with Flip Gordon.

Gordon has some MMA experience so the fight was a short one. Nobody was injured in the scuffle, aside from Cody's Chiptole. Rhodes also joked - in a now deleted tweet - "I'm strong considering Flip for All In after today."

Steel City Excellence was a TV Taping, if you'd like to check out the spoilers you can do so by clicking here: http://www.wrestlinginc.com/wi/news/2018/0416/639009/spoilers-roh-tv-taping-results/.

ROH star Cheeseburger was the latest guest on James Walshs Interactive Wrestling Radio where he discussed what his relationship with Chris Jericho is, among other topics.

On how Charlie Haas helped him be known as Cheeseburger:

(laughs) Ah yes, absolutely. I actually just saw Charlie again recently. I had a show in Texas. It was good to see him again. He was at a Ring of Honor show in Baltimore in I believe 2013 January of that year. I was doing ringside student duties like collecting streamers and stuff like that. He called me into the ring and started yelling at me on the mic. Cheeseburger was just a nickname I had and people that trained at the Ring of Honor school knew me as that. On the mic, he called me Cheeseburger and the people started chanting it. When I got to the back, they were like We might have something here. Lets roll with it!

On being granted the Palm Strike finish from Jushin Thunder Liger:

Liger is my favorite wrestler of all time. Hes what I aspire to be as a professional wrestler. He is the guy I look to as what a professional wrestler is. Just look at his career accomplishments and all the stuff hes done. Hes still doing it, hes like over 50 and still doing it at a high level. It is an honor to spend time with him and learn from him and have him pass down his Palm Strike to me.

On Chris Jericho taking a shine to him:

Oh, Jerichos awesome! (laughs) It is funny how things turn out. I started getting a ton of notifications on Twitter. Jericho was at home and Ring of Honor happened to be on. I think he saw the match with me and Bob Evans from Toronto in Ring of Honor. He didnt know who I was but he tweeted about liking this Cheeseburger guy or This Cheeseburger guy is my new favorite wrestler. People started tagging me in the post! All of a sudden, my Twitter was blowing up. People were texting me saying, Go to Twitter! Jerichos talking about you! I was like, What? (laughs) I sent him a message thanking him for the shout out. He invited me on his podcast and we actually did a Talk is Jericho show together.

On catching up with Jericho at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom:

That was cool. I hadnt seen him, I think, since the podcast. So, it had been like 2 years since I had seen him? We got the chance to sit down and talk. Another thing, he posted a video asking his kids who their favorite wrestler is and they said Cheeseburger! I think Ring of Honor even sent his kids some T-shirts! (laughs)

On being an assistant trainer at the ROH Dojo:

I absolutely love it. It is really cool because I feel like a parent in a sense. Im seeing these guys and girls grow up in the wrestling business getting opportunities to succeed. The Ring of Honor School, we offer something different than a lot of other wrestling schools. Were teaching for pay per view and television. Ring of Honor is the upper echelon of the wrestling business. Students get to come and help out. We teach them to wrestle not just for a crowd but for the people at home. They get to get that pay per view and television experience. They also get to learn a collection of styles. Wrestling is not just one thing. We teach Lucha Libre, British We teach about drama and emotion! Theres a whole mix of styles there!

On the growth of Ring of Honor:

When I got to Ring of Honor, I started in 2010, it was at the end of that HDNet run. I was around at the end of HDNet to where we had like no TV at all to where Sin Clair bought the company to now. So, I got to see how much weve grown. Every single year, we have something new happening. Every year, it has grown. If you look at our recent Final Battle, I guess production wise it was our biggest show ever. We had pyro, we had fire! A big stage, crazy lighting! Now we have working relationships with different companies. First, we had New Japan, then CMLL, now with STARDOM.

On people calling ROH an Independent Promotion:

I dont think you could consider Ring of Honor an independent. Were owned by a major corporation. That is the opposite of what independent is. Back when Cary Silkin owned it, it was just him doing it by himself. Even though we were on pay per view back then, it could still be considered an independent. But, were owned by Sin Clair who is a major corporation in America. That is the exact opposite of what could be considered an independent company.

On ROH now featuring the Women of Honor on the main show:

It is awesome! Weve seen, over the last few years, how much respect womens wrestling has gained. It is cool to see them now on the same level as the men. They are not a side attraction, they are the attraction. They can main event. It is cool to see how the womens revolution has grown and Im glad Ring of Honor is being a part of that revolution by introducing the WOmen of Honor Championship and making Women of Honor its own brand and part of the company. Now theyre getting to be on pay per view and TV. It is cool to see that transition.

On his future goals in ROH:

I like to set myself up with small goals rather than a big goal. For instance, when I first started training, my goal was not to headline Wrestlemania or Final Battle or something like that. My goal was to just have my first match. Then it was to have my first match on TV or my first match out of state. My goal now is to progress up the card and hopefully win my first title maybe this year or next year.
