I caught the Shamrock/Gracie fight...most obvious knee to the groin ever...and a truly terrible fight as well. Poor Shamrock though. Not that I expected anything good from that card, but that fight was bad on new levels. Haven't watched the Slice/Dada fight...but I heard that sucked too. I just watched the actual KO from that fight, and I wonder what McCarthy was thinking there. Dada took a bunch of unanswered shots. The actual knockout itself seemed quite unnecessary. Should have been stopped after the 4 or 5 completely unanswered shots beforehand. Like...even if he was standing, his eyes were wandering and he made zero attempt to block or return offense. He was out on his feet.

McGregor got a great point that he steps up when its time to fight so Dos Anjos and Aldo shouldn't be calling him a pussy. Legit half of his UFC fights have been people pulling out and him just fighting anyway. Not only that Aldo pulls out of fights alot.

Conor McGregor may have lost to Nate Diaz at UFC 196, but he still made history in other ways. McGregor became the first UFC fighter to pull in a seven-figure fight purse on Saturday night, earning $1,000,000 despite succumbing to a second-round rear-naked choke at the hands of Diaz, according to figures released to MMA Fighting by the Nevada Athletic Commission.

Diaz, a late replacement for the injured UFC lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos, pocketed a $500,000 payday in victory, joining former UFC women's bantamweight champion Holly Holm ($500,000) among the top earners of the card. Holm suffered a stunning defeat to Miesha Tate ($92,000) in the night's co-main event, forfeiting her belt via fifth-round submission.

UFC 196 took place March 5 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, NV. The main card is expected to be one of the highest-selling pay-per-views in UFC history.

Aside from the three featured fighters, UFC veteran Diego Sanchez was the only other fighter to hit the six-figure mark in winnings. Sanchez earned $150,000 for his slump-busting unanimous decision victory over Jim Miller, which headlined the UFC Fight Pass prelims portion of the card.

In addition to their commission-reported salaries, Diaz (x2), McGregor, and Tate all took home $50,000 fight night bonuses for their performances.

A complete list of the UFC 196 salaries can be seen below. As always, these figures do not represent a fighter's total earnings, as certain sponsorship incomes, pay-per-view bonuses, or discretionary post-fight bonuses are not publicly disclosed.
