Lumpy McRighteous
^ Looks good. When 2K14 comes out, hopefully you can overhaul the Pelicans' gear on a count of it being painfully generic shit. And it's official: Oden is Miami-bound after signing a 2-year deal (http://www.nba.com/2013/news/08/02/aldridge-on-oden-signing-with-heat/index.html)
ttttttttttt
I feel like Greg Oden is going to be beasting this year, is going to opt opt out of his second year, get PAIIIIDDD and then fall back down the injury path again and leave a bad contract. Whiterhyno333
I don't think Oden will play 30 games before he is hurt. He hasn't been healthy dating back to high school. He has NEVER played an entire year since his jr. year of high school. Think about that.
ttttttttttt
I'm sure lebron will help his dad out though right? Heat need to tell him no jumping or something.
maskedmaniac
If LeBron puts a little flour on his hair he and Greg Oden can play the twin-magic switcheroo on the officials.
Rewmac
Any thoughts on Derrick Rose saying he is the best player in the league? I wouldn't even say he is the best PG in the league right now. We don't even know if he's as good as he was pre-injury, and even then he was only the second best PG behind CP3. I'm just interested to see how both he and Westbrook comeback from their leg injuries considering they rely on explosive athleticism. He was never the classic PG to begin with. Not like Rondo or CP3. He is one of the best players though. Nothing can get over the LeBron hype though. Everything is James nowdays. For some reason I just can't stand the guy. I'm afraid that Rose isn't going to be able to play at the same level.
Rockstar™
Irving or Wall?
Tybo
I'm gonna say Irving right now. I think he's just proven how reliable he is. Although Wall has had his games. I personally can't wait to watch the two teams play this year.

Rewmac
Irving or Wall? Out of these two? Wall. My reason is simple. He is the typical playmaking point guard, while Irving wants to make plays for himself more times than he should. Irving is really good and a better overall player, but as a PG I gotta go with Wall. Yeah, that makes sense.
Soap
Lots of injuries to PG's in the league now a days makes it hard to rank them.

Lumpy McRighteous
I'd like to see Minnesota surprise us, since Rubio and Love are gonna be healthy and Pekovic has been said to be staying in Minny.
thexfactorct
Irving or Wall? Curry.
Soap
^ The only answer. Surprise team this year in my opinion is going to be Portland talent is there again just about execution this could be a top 6 team if they play up to their skills. Bronson
Irving or Wall? Curry. And I agree about Portland being a dark horse team. Lillard can get them the #8 seed all by himself.
Tybo
Portland just signed Mo Williams correct? Hopefully playing the back up role. I'm not a huge fan of his but I can see him benefiting the Blazers a lot.
Lumpy McRighteous
Yeah, Mo is a Blazer and will indeed be a back-up. He could very be the next 6th MOTY if everything plays out well for Portland.
Whiterhyno333
I think a few teams will surprise... I see Washington snatching a playoff spot. (4-6 seed) The Pelicans will find a way to get into the playoffs in the crowded West. The Cavs will make it if Irving can stay healthy. I can see them being a 5-7 seed easy. A team that no one thinks will be good, but will....... Will be my Celtics. I don't think they are as bad as people are making them out to be. Are they a contender for the East? No.... I won't go that far, but I seem them making the playoffs.
ttttttttttt
Celtics won't make the playoffs, rondo will play like a sulking kid all year because of trade rumours and various other things and there will be no doc rivers to keep him in check. Jeff green and marshon brooks will be the only bright spots if they get the proper pt.
GeauxSaints
and if you watch Butler basketball, their only offense is three's so they will continue to live or die by the
Lumpy McRighteous
Minny finally decided to give Pekovic a solid deal: 5 years worth $60 million. <3 And Motown seems to want to challenge Nawlins for the Most Insipid Jersey Award: http://allball.blogs.nba.com/2013/08/14/detroit-pistons-unveil-new-motor-city-jerseys/?ls=iref:nbahpts
Bronson
Bad contracts, and worse jerseys. The NBA's mantra so far this offseason.
Whiterhyno333
Not all deals... I think Atlanta did a good job of shedding salary and keeping essentially the same team talent wise... Losing Josh Smith in favor of Paul Milsap was essentially a wash, but cost them significantly less money. I think the Hawks will be a 6-8 seed, but will have tons of cap space by shedding Smith, Joe Johnson and Marvin William's bloated contracts. That is smart. Out of all of them, Horford and Teague have the most potential. Their draft picks this year look great in the summer league. Atlanta has made the best of a bad situation and postioned themselves for the future in a solid way.
