RVD 4:20
We're looking to deal A.J. Burnett in the offseason, which is a positive. Oh, and Brett Gardener has signed a new deal.
RVD 4:20
Just set my MLB.TV account up for automatic renewal, my Yankees Universe membership game came today, and all I need now is a new Yankees Jersey and I'm set for next season . cheddar
Prince Fielder to the Detroit Tigers http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/nationals-journal/post/prince-fielder-tigers-reportedly-agree-to-a-nine-year-214-million-deal/2012/01/24/gIQA30f8NQ_blog.html Can't say I saw this one coming, looks like the National League is going to be pretty weak this season. Jerky
Prince Fielder to the Detroit Tigers http://www.washingto...0f8NQ_blog.html Can't say I saw this one coming, looks like the National League is going to be pretty weak this season. Neither did I, I was still stupidly holding out he'd come to the M's, but at 9yr/214 mil, I rather he not.
RVD 4:20
And it's official; Pineda to the Yankees! Also, I'm surprised about Prince to Detroit. They were good last year, and they'll be even better this time around.
eastcoastkody
aaarrrhhhggg If he had signed here. I planned on going to ALOT of Nattinals games this season. tho its fitting. I best remember his dad playing as a Tiger.
cheddar
^I'm not at all surprised he didn't go to the Nationals, and believe it was a smart decision on their part not to aggressively pursue him after what they got out of Jayson Werth last season. Bronson
Prince probably wanted to go to where his daddy played (where he played best, anyway). I'm just glad he didn't sign with the Rangers though.
cheddar
I just thought about this, and I'm sorta curious, who do you guys think will be DHing in Detroit, Miguel Cabrera,or Prince with Victor Martinez likely out for the year with his torn ACL. Kryptonite Krunch
Probably be a rotation of Prince and Cabrera at DH with the other at 1B. Delmon Young could play some DH while Cabrera play left field. I can't imagine Cabrera playing third, even if he loses weight.
RVD 4:20
Joe Giradi saying hinting that he wants another hitter. I want Matsui back!
Rated R
So a few weeks until the season, (not long now!) Who are your picks for the World Series? My heart says Yankees, my head says Detroit Tigers.
RVD 4:20
Hopefully the Yankees, but I can see the Phillies winning this time. I also think it could be third time lucky for the Rangers. Hopefully the Red Sox have another poor season and we take the AL East comfortably.

Lunchbox
Phil Hughes is in the best shape of his life. ALL IN. 18 game winner this season if they don't give him any limits.
RVD 4:20
I still would place him 4th/5th in the rotation behind guys like CC, Nova, and Pineda.
Rated R
Reports that Ibanez has signed with Yankees, with AJ Burnett going to Pittsburgh Pirates. Not sad to see Burnett go must say and pretty happy with Ibanez joining although would have preferred Matsui.
Lunchbox
Burnett is apparently traded for two pitching prospects to the Pirates.
Bronson
Manny Ramirez will sign with the A's http://espn.go.com/mlb/story/_/id/7594873/manny-ramirez-agrees-deal-oakland-as At least this might give Oakland some pop in the middle of the lineup (after 50 games anyways), with him and Cespedes if he pans out. RVD 4:20
A's, anyone? ..... anyone? I can see them comfortably reaching the Postseason. But going all the way? I don't think they will.
Lunchbox
Man i don't think the Yankees will be resigning Chaves which is a terrible terrible move.
Kryptonite Krunch
I'm liking the A's; although they did trade away some good arms, they got some decent to good hitting. Cespedes/Ramirez/Reddick/Seth Smith/Gomes. I think Billy Beane will do a good job of rebuilding, they just need to move out of that ballpark.
