Caw Mode

so I spent some hour in caw mode and here is my small review

caw in overall looks better in game, texture skin are similar to ingame supertars, so there isn't a big difference between them.

for caw parts, there is some new but not so much and most of them are useless except maybe some of the tatoo.

for morphs, nothing new for face morph, body morph have now trapezius forms, arms is separated into 3 parts: arm (lenght) biceps, forearm, same for legs

the big new thing is the reorder of all the parts in the menu and in the layer list, which made everything easier to search, for the layer list each layer is now associated to part of the body, for example you ve got this:

layer 10 shirts
layer 11 caps
layer 12 shirt design
layer 13 arm tatoo
layer 14 necklace

the game will order each layer so you will have layer 10 and 14 under upperbody section, 11 under head, 12 under the layer 10 section, 13 under body section and of course for example body section is before uupperbody.

so basically it makes the search layer edit a lot easier and if you forget to add a tatoo after you finish the caw you won't have to move it over all the previous layer it will go automaticaly on his section

texture skin color is now only predifined color, color section has changed too, and FINALLY we've got a real RVB color range (the color value goes from 0 to 255). so for those who are familiar with RGB color it's really easy to use the exact color you want.

caw are animated in versus screen, and when you select the brand show for ur caw u can use Paint tool design (so you can put ur caw on tna etc....)

that's the good new thing

Now the bad thing:, I niticed two bad thing, but it's really BIG bad idea

first of all, no more makeup except eyes and lips, so forget cheeks makeup, etc....
the second thing is there is no more transparency for beards, logo, thight etc....

[b]EDIT

so after some more practising, it's possible to work around transparency to make face details

So they took out a big chunk of makeups? Or was it mostly the parts that were almost useless generally aside from the cheek shading?

No transparency on beards huh? jesus. It figures they'd go and do something like that after improving the morphing. PT hacks are almost mandatory then. Thanks for the info.

Was this review just from the males point of the mode? Or for both the male and diva perspective?

Disappointed about the transparency, that's stupid.

the body on that caw looks beast yo.

No disrespect but I hope you're wrong there Tich. Because the idea of NO transparency in logos, AND make ups out is sinking in.. It's gonna be a big problem.

I think we best get a decent incentive for Mr.Mouse to take a look at that PTExplorer sooner than later

:censored: ing finally, imo that was really what halted the CAWs from looking like in game superstars, in the past you could only stretch and skew the body parts. B :censored: tchin'.

Sad about transparency, because that's how I did a lot of my logos and fixed facial hair.

Also for an early work, your Goldberg was rather Phenomenal

so even all of the good point, I'm really disapointed with the bad point, I hope those option are under some section I didn't see but I really doubt .......

anyway here are some pics of a caw (don't judge the caw, just an early work)

Can you do me a favor and take a quick pic of the diva caw model so I know what to expect. This is kind of a deciding factor for me.

The beard transparency deal doesn't seem right, but I dunno...probably depends on how thick the facial hair is, as I don't see why a stubbly beard wouldn't have transparency. But we'll see. That would be a major buzzkill...

joerrd stream just confirmed, basically there's no transparency on anything this year.

oh . my .

Welp...Randy Savage it is, I guess...until this is all sorted out...lol...or classic Sting... transparency's like a HUUUUUGE aspect of what pulls my CAW faces together... I don't wanna say that would take me out of commission for the year, CAW-wise, but I dunno. I'll have to get ahold of the game for myself and see.

That's a pretty big deal really isn't it? There goes any detail as we know it. I wonder WTF the guy was thinking taking it out. The rest of the work he did on the mode looks great. We're gonna need that PT hack now

That's the thing, though. The face textures I use need alot of blending in, and if there's no transparency feature to mess around with, I'm f*cked. lol. Nevermind body/facial hair, tattoos, et cetera.

I'm still holding out hope that there's some way to make this work, though.

Same here...My caw list just got a lot shorter if this can't be sorted out.
