Nike The Bike
Since we can't use HCTP wrestlers in the newer SVR games, perhaps we could use the newer ones in the older game? I know the newer ones are BPE compressed and I think the older are not but we can uncompress everything in the new wrestler models... Has anyone tried? (Controlled+Chaos)
This would be a good idea. There are quite a few models we could use from SVR.
dokoham
maybe work? SVR 2005 is similar with hctp
tekken57
Thats actually a good idea. The alpha values on the textures are the same and from memory I did see some bpe files elsewhere on the disc so the game can probably read bpe archives. I don't have the game anymore though so I can't verify that this works.
Teeceezy
I've done some work with HCTP before, so I'll do some tests and report the results. I'm not so sure it will work due to model incompatibility but it is definitely worth a try.
dokoham
looking for you good news! if success can you share your patch please? i really want add all official wrestler from svr 2005 on hctp
Teeceezy
All tests so far have led to VTLB errors. The models seem to be incompatible. During the menu nothing showed when The Rock's model was supposed to and before his entrance the VTLB error at address 0x10 occured.
dokoham
so sad then how about mod from hctp to 2005?
Nike The Bike
Did you try decompressing everything before using them in HCTP?
Teeceezy
Did you try decompressing everything before using them in HCTP?
I tried both compressed and uncompressed files when adding SvR models and all tests failed. I think the only hope for compatibility between the SYM/HCTP yobj models and the SvR yobj models is a reverse engineering of the RRObjExporter. As for me though I have virtually no coding skills so at this point I would have no idea of how to go about attempting such an idea.
Nike The Bike
I wish I could clone myself. In that case I'd have time to look into that...
