I just sent it to Gamefaqs.com just now. They should post it today or tomorrow. It is in .max format so use ps2 save builder for any conversions you may need. Hopefully everybody likes it. It will be in the game saves section of svr 2006 for ps2 under max files. It is the one by hackdog99 as that is my username over there. I updated it one last time and removed ronnie garvin and added jimmy garvin to complete the freebirds. I also updated the Steiner brothers outfits to what they were wearing from Clash of the Champions 7 to 9.

Yes it is NTSC max.

I am also working on a version 2 of the save. I want to include the sheepherders (nwa bushwackers) Mean Mark (NWA Undertaker) and Butch Reed to complete DOOM with Ron Simmons. Does anybody have Butch Reed. That is the only one I need to complete that save. I am thinking about replacing Ivan Koloff, Dusty Rhodes, Magnum TA, and Terry Gordy as they were relatively inactive during this time period. Obviously Magnum TA was inactive as his career was over but it is an awesome CAW so I left him on version 1. I will include the masks for Doom as well an people can just edit the masks depending whether they want them to wear them or not.

I just found Butch Reed so if it is good the save version 2 will be completed in 2 days.

This Save Reviewed Indepth...Because I have no life

I defy you not to have fun with this save, A save that combines wrestlers of a era in a federation that was at it's peak in colorful characters. Just all around a great era to put into a save.

The Highs
Before I mention anything else I gotta say, This save screams Tag team matches. The Powers of Pain, The Freebirds, Roadwarriors and yes even the Ivy League are in here, hell add in a time tested fued like Flair and Sting..Add in a buddy tag team for each and you got yourself even more fun..[Horsemen vs. Sting and Roadwarriors] In General the strongest point to this save is in it's roster. One that pleases the casual Fan of Today and the die hards fans of yesteryear.

Another strong point is the in the movesets that you can tell were done with loving care, Not always 100 exact but rather at time tending to drift into a "Maybe they could do that" mode where fun is more important then being 100 exact with the moves. And boy is this the way to go. it's faster paced and more even rounded,allowing a good match with any contestants which draws the spirit of that era.

The last good point I wanna make clear is the great stats, none overbearing over others but not unbelieveable. closely set together so as I said before the matches can proceed in a fun and challenging fashion.

The Lows
The Main thing that really sticks out when it comes to the lows is the fact that the entrances are sometimes way off.[Terry Funk from Detriot being one] Which isn't that big a deal because all of the entrance moves are basically right only the callings and towns could be changed a bit.

Another low is..some wrestlers are kinda slow when they shouldn't be, Barry Windham for instance is one I would have made a bit faster, Nor should Ron Simmons be that fast.

The Roster has been cheered but it needs to be noted that a few wrestlers just seem out of place, Like the Powers of Pain and Others I would have just as soon gotten rid of all together for others..Like perhaps ridding Ivan Koloff for Mean Mark..Don't get me wrong, I love the roster but certain things need to be changed. Let's drop Koloff for Mean Mark. Let's put Scott Stiener in a matching outfit to Rick..I suppose that's another low point..you will find yourself wanting to change outfits..Oh and if ron simmons is in..we need Butch Reed..we need doom

Other thoughts..Although I am against caws of wrestlers already in the game, I gotta say the Ric Flair CAW is a better fit for the horsemen then the in game model..also looks better against his older fued foes.
So In general...Change a few guys..change a few costumes and you got yourself THEE perfect NWA save.

Greatest Moment Had-Rick Steiner on a Roll in a tag match delievery his finisher to hawk then animal in the span of 3 seconds.
