Eddie Fatu (a/k/a Umaga) last competed in a wrestling match on 11/28 on the Hulkamania tour in Sydney, Australia. Fatu's opponent was his friend Ken Anderson (formerly Kennedy from WWE). Fatu was released from WWE back in June for failing his second Wellness Policy Test and refusing to go to rehab.

On October 13th we reported here on WrestlingNewsWorld.com Premium that Fatu had "made nice" with WWE officials and he was likely to return to the company. The word I got was he had recovered from his drug problem but WWE higher-ups wanted to see him clean for a little longer in case he had a relapse. Despite being well-liked in the locker room, company officials didn't want to risk him not being cleaning and giving them unwanted negative press with another failed Wellness test. Nonetheless Fatu was expected to negotiate a WWE return upon completion of the Hulkamania tour of Australia.

Fatu has suffered what is believed to be a heart attack and remains in "grave condition" in ICU in Houston, Texas. We are unable to confirm he has passed, despite some in the wrestling industry already paying tribute to him on their Twitter and Facebook accounts.
