Quisee
Why did WWE get rid of Sunday night heat and Velocity?
L.I.O.
Because no one watched it.
Dazman™
It wasn't good and ECW took over Velocity.
Alberto DelRiJoe
Wasnt getting the views, Velocity was replaced by ECW and Heat was replaced by Vintage Collection which is a hell of a lot better.
The Knight
Where does it say that those shows replaced Heat and Velocity?
Reverse DVD
They took it out to make some place for ECW and other stuff. They were good places to show the unused talent from RAW and Smackdown! with participation of wrestlers with ECW.
TNAFan187
Velocity Sucked. Heat Sucked. ECW Sucks. WWE just need to have two 2 1/2 shows and leave it at that

Basically they had too many recap shows and they were barely being watched so Velocity was gone, in the UK we got Heat on tv until ECW replaced it but even with Heat and Velocity gone, we still have Bottom Line, Afterburn and WWE Experience recapping what happened that week (with BL talking about Raw, Afterburn for SD, Experience for all 3 shows) so for me, it;s a bit of a welcome change to not have 5 shows all recapping what happened that week. Though I do miss the Heat and Velocity exlusive matches.
Alberto DelRiJoe
^ I completely agree, the amount of highlight shows we've got in the uk is huge but like you I liked the exclusive matches, for me I prefered velocity just because on heat it was always val venis and hass taking on the highlanders or something along those lines. TheNetworkZ
Velocity and Heat were put as webcasts after IIRC, then got canceled.
Alberto DelRiJoe
they could always do a mini draft with the ecw superstars where some go to raw, others to s/d.

The Knight
I seriously doubt that ECW is a replacement. Especially considering the time line.
Vunter Slaush
People that say ECW sucks is retarded. Without ECW, no one would have seen the rise of John Morrison and The Miz, the greatest tag team there is atm, or CM Punk our » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «new Intercontinental Champion and former ECW and WHC champion. It's just so retarded to say that. TBH, ECW usually has the better wrestling and I'm a frequent watcher of ECW. It just lacks in storylines because it's the 3rd show so no one gives it to much attention.

OPC
I liked Sunday Night Heat in from 1997-2004. I really enjoyed sit down interviews at WWF New York as well as the matches, at times RAW storylines would progress through Heat. Like for example: When Stephanie McMahon was getting ready to defend the Womens title against lita in the main event, she came out on Heat the day before and interfered in some match the Hardy's and Lita were involved in. and I always liked the Sunday Night Heat theme songs, especially the one in the late 90s.
