Playing The Game Posted October 12, 2008 Report Share Posted October 12, 2008 - WWE has released an updated pay-per-view poster for next month's Survivor Series event on November 23, 2008. The new poster features John Cena. The event is set to take place near his hometown -- in Boston. This past week, WWE ran two videos regarding Cena's successive surgery to repair the herniated disk in his neck and how he left the hospital a few hours after surgery to go to the WWE show held later that same day. WWE is trying to do a big build for his eventual return to the ring. Dr. Joseph Maroon, who did the surgery, was interviewed and said Cena would be back in three to four months. With surgery in late August, he should be back in the ring sometime between late November and late December. Now with the release of the poster, it definitely looks like WWE is aiming for Survivor Series for his return to the ring.
