Yeah you need a cable to connect into your router, you need to buy it in separate, means that you dont get a cable when buying a "online adapter" . If it showed up again just re start your ps2 again and if if it showed up again turn off your ps2 and re start it again. I always get that 612 error. I just re start my ps2.
