AfroIYH
Well when I'm going to edit my signature in my controls I always have to sort out the BBCode because it's being a bitch whenever I change my sig. let me show you what I mean [img]http://i14.tinypic.com/7welpjb.jpg[/img] but it should be as follows [img]http://i2.tinypic.com/8br2vkm.jpg[/img] so I'm wondering if it's a glitch or something you've installed, it's getting really annoying, the above examples should be to my previous sig if your wondering. EDIT: I'm also having trouble putting in Spoiler Tags, but it kinda seems like the problem has sorted it self out but may return but none the less I am having trouble putting my text in Spoiler Tags

GuyRS
The same thing happens to me sometimes when I am writing up the results for an RPG, I get crazy shit like that, and it's annoying as hell.

Tom Rice
Hi, I have seen this issue before when we have done upgrades or the bbcode needed to be re-installed. I've been playing around with adding code and editing it etc on my signature and elsewhere and I've been unable to replicate it. I tried the rich text editor, and there were no problems for me, but I do know that the rich text editor in particular can really garble things if you are using a lot of bbcode. If you're using it currently but are able to cope without it, it might be a good idea to switch to the standard editor. You can do so by going to My Controls --> Board Settings --> Posting Settings Another thing to note is that you should always close tags in the order that you opened them. I noticed in your example you have this: [code][center][img]image link[/img][spoiler]spoiler stuff..[/center][/spoiler][/code] Because center was opened before spoiler, the formatting is not specific to the stuff in the spoiler, so it should be closed after spoiler, like this: [code][center][img]image link[/img][spoiler]spoiler stuff..[/spoiler][/center][/code] That may not be the cause of it, but using the standard editor and keeping your bbcode neat and in correct order is always a good idea, and may help. This may not be a complete solution but I hope it helps. Please let us know if you have any serious difficulty.
AfroIYH
well the BBCode for the Spoiler Tag still isn't working [code][center][img]http://i13.tinypic.com/71phyk4.gif[/img][img]http://i4.tinypic.com/85y4pjl.gif[/img] [img]http://i2.tinypic.com/6wvy00n.gif[/img] [b]Biggest Eyeshield 21 Fan on Caws[/b] *Still Hunting Down Episodes 39-40* 2nd Biggest Ego of 2007 2nd Most Controversial of 2007 [u][url="http://unique-divas.com/forums/index.php?act=idx"]Unique-Divas.com - The Best Around[/url][/u][/center][/code] That is my current sig, I'm trying to add it before the first Bold Tag and right after the 2nd most controversial and it still isn't adding. AfroIYH
yeh the spoilers are working fine but my code ends up as follows: [code][center][img]http://i13.tinypic.com/71phyk4.gif[/img][img]http://i4.tinypic.com/85y4pjl.gif[/img] [img]http://i2.tinypic.com/6wvy00n.gif[/img] [spoiler][b]Biggest Eyeshield 21 Fan on Caws[/b] *Still Hunting Down Episodes 39-40* 2nd Biggest Ego of 2007 2nd Most Controversial of 2007[/spoiler] [u][url="http://unique-divas.com/forums/index.php?act=idx"]Unique-Divas.com - The Best Around[/url][/u]</div>[/code] ??? oh yeh you might wanna note this topic on the spoilers: [url="http://caws.ws/forum/index.php?showtopic=202733"]http://caws.ws/forum/index.php?showtopic=202733[/url]
AfroIYH
you sure there isn't a problem with the Spoiler Tag input, maybe the way you've installed it, as before I put the Spoiler Tag back in it still had the [ /center ] coding in. Tom Rice
Sorry deleted my post.. I just found an error with it. I fixed your signature, then when I viewed it it worked. I tried to view it again and it had gone bad. Trying to see why it goes bad again now. Edit: Note your first post on this topic it works fine, the others it doesn't. Strange. Edit: Ah the other ones do work.. but they open the spoiler on your first post instead of the one you clicked lol. I'll have a look..
AfroIYH
so it should work fine after you've tweaked around with the spoilers???
Tom Rice
Hopefully.. at the moment, it works fine, but if you post more than once on the same page, it will open on the sig on your first post regardless of which one you click. Just trying to tweak/change the spoiler code and fix it somehow. Ok it should work properly now. Any that don't work properly, just edit and post again as I explained and then they should. Your spoiler is opening and closing on the signature in all of your posts now.
AfroIYH
ok I can see the spoiler in the sig works now, but the code in My Controls -> Edit My Signature still looks like this: [code][center][img]http://i13.tinypic.com/71phyk4.gif[/img][img]http://i4.tinypic.com/85y4pjl.gif[/img] [img]http://i2.tinypic.com/6wvy00n.gif[/img] <span onClick="this.nextSibling.style.display=((this.nextSibling.style.display=='none')?'':'none');" onclick="this.nextSibling.style.display='';">[url="java script:;"] <div>» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «[/center] [/url]</span><span style='display:none;'> <div>[b]Biggest Eyeshield 21 Fan on Caws[/b] *Still Hunting Down Episodes 39-40* 2nd Biggest Ego of 2007 2nd Most Controversial of 2007</div> </span> [u][url="http://unique-divas.com/forums/index.php?act=idx"]Unique-Divas.com - The Best Around[/url][/u]</div>[/code] ??? Tom Rice
Ah I didn't see that sorry. I've been playing around with it and it seems that the code generated by the [ center ] tag was messing up the spoiler code - it still worked ok but made it look like that when you went to edit it. I've edited the center tag now and it seems ok. Hopefully that doesn't cause problems elsewhere with centering. I can't see anything wrong now. Hopefully that has fixed it
