[b]Posting images on the forum:[/b]
Upload your image at an image hosting website, such as [url="http://www.imageshack.us/"]Imageshack[/url] or [url="http://www.picturepush.com/"]PicturePush[/url]

Once you've done that you should get a URL address (direct link) for your image, such as:

To use that on the forum, use this code:

Linking an image/banner to a website:


To link an image to a web address, use this code:
[code][url=http://www.caws.ws/][img]http://something.com/yourimage.jpg[/img][/url][/code]

[b]Displaying images in signatures:[/b]
If you have your image banner already, use the same methods as above but put the code into the 'Edit Signature' section of your control panel (See [url="http://caws.ws/forum/index.php?act=UserCP&CODE=00"]My Controls[/url]).
Before saving, make sure your signature is within the limit of 500 x 200 pixels. If it is not, it will be removed.
Click 'Update Signature' to save your settings.
If you don't know how to check the size of your signature, you can right click your image and select "Properties" and look in the direction of something along the lines of "Image Dimensions" which should include two separate numbers divided by an x (width x height; # x #). If any of those numbers corresponding to 500 x 200 are larger, then your signature is too big.
If you have more than one image, right click > Properties the widest signature and look at the number to the left of the x. This number should be less than 500. Then, right click > Properties all of your images and add up the numbers to the right of the x. The sum of all of those numbers should be no greater than 200.

[b]Avatars:[/b]
Your avatar is the picture that appears beneath your name on the forum.
CAWs.ws has a gallery of images already, if you wish to use one of those, go to your [url="http://caws.ws/forum/index.php?act=UserCP&CODE=00"]Control Panel[/url], and click on "Edit Avatar settings". Then, click on the bar next to where it says "Choose an avatar from one of our galleries". Pick a category, and choose an avatar from said category. Press "Use Selected Avatar" to update.
If you want to use your own avatar, first you must upload your image to a site such as [url="http://www.imageshack.us/"]Imageshack[/url] to get a URL as described above. Then go to your [url="http://caws.ws/forum/index.php?act=UserCP&CODE=00"]Control Panel[/url], click 'Edit Avatar Settings' and enter the location of the image where it says 'Enter a URL to an online avatar image'.
Click 'Update Avatar' to save your settings.
If all or part of your avatar is over 100x100 Pixels, the forum will automatically reset the size of the image/the whole image to 100 pixels.
