  1. I've come to terms with, and even thoroughly enjoy, the fact that WWE does the theatrics and grandeur better than anyone. I now watch WWE for the big juiced up looking titans throwing each other around and the insane theatrics and love it, and watch AEW and any indie I want for pure wrestling or insane spot fests. WWE does big fight feel better than anyone.

My current job *censored*ed with my paycheck. I might quit. I cleaned my locker out and left my key at the restaurant just incase i decide i'm done I won't have to go back in.

Pay is always the #1 thing I won't put up with garbage on. Its the only reason I show up to any job. The only prerequisite to any of our relationships with our workplaces. Screw those guys

  3. WWE's best shot at killing AEW is going with the 80s/90s style of showmanship again. Its very clear the larger than life, big meaty men fighting is more popular in mainstream overall than AEW's style. WWE took a big hit trying the indie style and getting out done, but Roman Reigns vs John Cena, Reigns vs Brock, and generally just dudes that look like super heroes draw so much more attention to the normal person and WWE does it so well. People absolutely love the exact wrestlers WWE wants, taller than 6'2" and looking juiced out of their minds

  4. Conkers Bad Fur Day via Rare Replay.

On a side note.. i'm not sure if this game is just nostalgia for most people but.. This game is terrible, only reason i'm playing it is for the achievements. First half was good platforming fun (not as good as SM64 or other Rare 3D platformers) But, when the third person shooting segments came along.. completely killed the game.

Its 100% nostalgia. The game was literally NEVER good, just lewd. Its an average game with a cult following, that includes me

  5. I keep hearing how much of a pain it is to do a Shoryuken with Ryu on a GC controller, is it that bad?

Not even. Obviously if you've never touched a fighting game outside of Smash then it'll be rough, but there's nearly like 2 seconds of latency from direction input to pressing A which makes it disgustingly easy to do the true Shoryuken. I do it on a 2DS circle pad

  6. I love the DLC here, but it kills me for Fighting Games. At this point if you play competitive, you already have your mains and the meta has progressed quite a bit since launch. Now to pick up a whole new character that will have new movement styles and such will be a mess and put you a bit back. Might play as Ryu for the hell of it, but I'll be surprised if he tops lists as a tourney winning main

  7. I just realized that Captain Falcon, the Earthbound characters, and Morrigan Aensland are a lot alike in that they're all characters from pretty much dead franchises that many people want revived and at this point are probably more famous for their crossover appearances than their own games. Same with Ice Climbers, except no one's clamoring for another Ice Climbers game, though(slightly off topic) I feel like if they were to get the Kid Icarus treatment, a lot of people would jump right on it probably even more so than Uprisng since they've been around since Melee.

Captain Falcon big time, same with Earthbound. But I find people know more about Earthbound than knowing Cap is from F Zero let alone have played F Zero. He's definitely known more now for the knee of justice in smash

Wasn't handled piss poor, was handled super smart. Look at the discussions they've caused, and look at the type of hunters like you that they've bred. Intentionally understocking exclusives for something so successful is so damned smart as long as you guys keep falling for it and continue acting ravenous every time they drop. They know its money

Yeah, but when we complain to them and they finally decide to respond, it's "Please understand." I'm not collecting all 38 of the SSB amiibos or the rest of the ones that will come out, I only want the ones that I play in Smash. It's just pretty bad out there when certain stores aren't getting enough in tough areas like where I live and they allow scalpers to buy out whole stocks just because they can. There has to be at least rules to this shit by now when we're 4 waves in. Some of the franchise amiibo being understocked I don't get because they think they're not that popular in America, when in reality they actually are. We've embraced Fire Emblem, Earthbound, etc.

I just hope for no more store exclusives, that doesn't help the situation any more than it is right now.

If theres an amiibo you are really wanting and not wanting to spend a shit ton of cash on one. Go to a gaming convention. The one I just went to with a friend, he bought a $50 Japanese Villager amiibo.

The prices are just as bad for those. $50 is way too much for Villager when I see him online for about $35-45.

I think this last wave in America was a bit better than previous in terms of stock and quality, though. The stores around me (particularly Toys R Us) had a decent enough stock to sell of each, which is better.

But you don't get it, you guys complaining that you want them so bad that they need more stock is just ammo for them to continue over stocking because they know that they will sell out and profit the second they drop. If someone buys out the whole stock? Good, they just made all their money they wanted. They're not looking to create and ideal situation where everyone can get one, they're creating demand

  9. I wanna see them do a proper restock too, the way they handled a lot of them (and the stores, though I don't fully blame them) were piss poor. I saw how much stock Ness got at GameStop, that's so unacceptable for an exclusive. For Greninja, that wasn't handled too bad because a lot of the Toys R Us stores had over 50+ of him, that's how you do exclusives. Shulk's was just as bad, too.

  10. Good Link players who don't rely on projectiles are damned good in Sm4sh. They seriously will use like 2 or 3 bombs all match and those 2 or 3 will ALWAYS be perfectly timed to mess you up big time. Its a hassle. Spammers are easy because they don't know what to do if you grab them and start juggling. Usually Link's will Dair if you pop em up because they don't know better, roll, smash on the lag.

  11. Yeah I was replying to both of you. He did make it sound like it was Melee's fault that Smash 4 players weren't giving their own game enough attention. The Smash 4/Brawl community is mostly separate from the Melee community, as they probably should be considering they're such different games. The only people that "downplayed Smash 4" from the start were the ones who never played the game and we're never apart of the community to even be in a position to effect it negatively. The game's community itself just needs to step up and take some responsibility for growing their own game, which is what Zeros entire rant was saying. It's not going to magically inherit Melee's success when it has so little in common with it.

No, but if you pay even remote attention to twitter and such you'll see a ton of people talking down about Smash4 instead of just leaving it be. I didn't even say Melee Fanboys, I said people in general are doing it and then stating that Melee is superior which in a directly related statement would hurt Sm4sh. Its all this in-community Smash 4 players talking about ruleset and such way too much instead of just confirming one and practicing that are hurting it long run. When the talent gap is that large, people stop trying and the lazy ones will claim because its not Melee instead of taking the blame for it themselves.

  12.

That's just not true lol. Melee is no less balanced than any other smash and I play any character I want all the time with my friends and do fine. The better player usually wins regardless of character unless it's something ridiculous like Fox vs Kirby. And then those "unwinnable" matchups happen in every smash except arguably 64. And if you're playing the same maps with same characters every game when you guys play that's on you and your friends not the game itself.

Its very true actually. Everyone in the pro scene admits to it, and the fact that Armada of all people switched to a Fox main because he said no other character can keep up consistently with Fox. Are there people who are good enough to make other characters work pretty well? Yes. Will the win majors on a constant basis? Not a chance with Fox out there.

Playing with friends is fine, but the game competitively is built around a few main stages and Fox balance wise and there is hard proof and data to prove it.

He wasn't talking about super top level professional play though he was talking about his experience playing it with friends. And Armada had to switch because he told himself he had to, his Peach was still getting top 2/3 every big tournament. And 64 is Pika centered, Brawl Meta Knight, Sm4sh Diddy. I didn't say Fox isn't the best character (even though it is debatable imo), I just said no other smash game is any more balanced. Every other smash, even every other fighting game for that matter, has a competitive tier list with clear best characters and that doesn't take anything away from the game imo.

And no, not everyone in the pro scene admits to it. Half of them think the whole 20XX Fox only idea is ludicrous. PP just won Apex, the largest tournament of all time, with Falco and Marth ffs. Big House 4 had 8 unique characters in the top 8. Fox only is an ideal that will never come to life, there are too many other super good characters that are easier to play. And sure, if it ever came to the point 20 years from now that every player is frame perfect, maybe Fox does get a kill everytime he touches someone, but Armada already does that with Peach and every other top tier kills Fox every time they touch him as well.

Falco is the other spacie who everyone says is 20XX, so still kinda counts towards my argument. PP wouldn't have taken it solo Marth. Like I said, do people make it work? Yup. Will the ever consistently take tournies over people who use Spacies (mainly Fox)? Nope. Armada switched off because he knew he wasn't going to be dominating with Peach like he's tried to. The data seems to legitimately prove Fox and to a lesser extent Falco are just superior in Melee, its fact. The game is quite unbalanced. Its fun as hell and my fav Smash game by quite a bit, but one you're beyond like......I'd say Marth/Sheik the tiers just drop significantly. Even Fox/Falco to Marth/Sheik is a pretty big one.
