  1. If you like the game then it sure is. I know wishing bad on something is terrible but in most cases that’s what pushes people to improve.
  2. I really hope this game doesn’t do well just to get more effort from 2k. I knew the praise 2k22 got from some fans was going to be enough for them not to put as much effort in 2k23.
  3. Yeah I been waiting for the game to introduce more dreads and cornrow variations for years and doesn’t seem to change much. I heard about all the scanned caw parts and was expecting more variation there. I’m hoping to see new stuff in create an arena like venues but I probably shouldn’t keep my hopes up.
  4. All I can see is jake atlas in that default caw. I’m guessing he’s the base?
  5. Seen caw video.. definitely not as impressive as I thought lol.
  6. When Creation stuff is shown it will probably convince more to get game but the gameplay is still bad enough that I think I can hold on buying for now and wait for a price reduction.
  7. If there’s ever a celebrity to have in this game to help sales from casual gamers it’s bad bunny while he’s at such a high level in his career. I hope there’s still some good stuff to see since the game is still pretty iffy in my opinion.
  8. Lol eastcoastkody always kills the vibe for everyone hype about the game here but I agree with majority of what’s said. Combo system argument aside, the punching in this game looks worse and clunkier to even implement the combo system. Every wrestler has the sluggish hook punch that looks terrible.
  9. So far this game feels like something to wait to buy after release. I preorder every year since I can afford to (unlike when I was a kid) and feel dumb the last couple releases doing so. I will say if creation suite has a bunch of new things to look forward to, that would fool me enough to change my mind.
  10. Lol imagine back then around 2007 bringing this picture saying that this is how Lita will look in the game in the year 2023. It would look like a bad troll.
  11. To the discussion about Bryan having competitive matches against everyone, I agree. It’s either look more dominant against these opponents or do that thing wwe does where they properly sell you how dangerous an opponent is and not where fans should know. I can bet all the money in the world that’s Bryan’s decision though (think him helping gulak in wwe). This company helps me see wwe’s logic of building world champions to have contenders and champions be miles above most and not having everyone feel like equal competitors.
  12. I really hope for this game they do something about dodges or blocks stopping a running strike since it looks pretty bad. Brock Lesnar running at you with a clothesline shouldn’t be stopped because you put your hands up to block it.
  13. I agree with eastcoastkody but we have to just accept the new base for this game. Not to say get used to it but they just don’t know how to work with the old structure so this thing they sorta restarted from scratch is going to be the foundation on what’s worked with. I do think with time the game has potential so I’m all for pointing out individual flaws. The game still has a fun factor to it but the games wrestling psychology the people at yukes worked on is something they have to learn to implement.
  14. It’s so much more than that. One thing is the striking and selling of strikes look way less smooth in 2k22-23. Dodging blocking is cool sometimes but its usage look awkward 60% of the time. Maybe this game will improve in this but in 2k22 a jobber and main eventer play like they’re equals. There’s so much more I could say that’s off but that’s just keeping it kinda short. I’m keeping an open mind to this series but yeah it has a long way to go that’s not just a couple things mentioned Maybe they’re over selling it but the one thing I’ve liked so far is ai sliders for individual characters. That could open many possibilities if done right.. especially for caws.
  15. Bryan Williams has always been my favorite guy in this series. He’s as much of a fan as he is a creator of the game and you can tell by his input. As much as I’m on the fence on this game, him describing the little details he’s fixing to make the gameplay better is selling me. I haven’t watched enough videos but is there still that issue of being in block stance making your running attack seem like it was performed to an invisible wall?
  16. AEW was having some years they were just hitting back to back home runs. So much that even if they weren’t at WWE’s level in terms of name, they were putting enough quality to compete. As of late so much is off. Great matches but little to no story is told to have people care. As a kid when I got into wwe, I tried wcw but I couldn’t get into it due to how they told stories. Imagine being a kid in the same scenario today.. aew does worse than wcw these days at that.
  17. I was giving the game a chance before judging but so far it looks almost identical to 2k22. Even the funky looking striking dodges. If nothing grabs my attention (caw mode might) then I’ll just wait until game gets cheaper and buy it since the gameplay of last game really didn’t even allow dlc to be enjoyed properly since every model felt like it played the same.
  18. I hope gameplay is better than last year when they show us. It’s obvious they’re keeping last year gameplay as its base but hopefully many improvements have been made to it
  19. I know the gameplay is not going to be as I like but I really hope they’re doing tweaks all around to make it play out better and more logical. At least making stats matter to who plays more dominant and every match not needing more than one finisher (realistic if were an aew game lol).
  20. The one thing I’m liking that I’m hearing is that created wrestlers now are more closer to in game models. If they pull that off right it could be great for creations. Hopefully they allow us to just apply a logo to trons for created wrestlers with some default movements to chose without having to make the created video and waste time with that.
  21. Shafir might be one of the most awkward people in the ring I’ve ever seen including celebrities. It’s wild since she married to a guy known for being a technical wrestler and with her background could have so much potential. Seems like Tony doesn’t want to make Kyle feel like he’s only a tag guy after his prior run as a singles competitor but yeah I’d rather someone else get his little push right now. I’d argue Wardlow is a good babyface promo but it would be appreciated somewhere like wwe since in aew for a promo to stand out it usually has to be edgy. He looked confident on mic and let his chants have their moment which I hate in aew when a face steps over people chanting their name. What’s bad to me is the silent at the beginning entrance thing he has.
